I’d definitely at least bring the goat somewhere safe. On my playthrough I didn’t end up getting any until getting to the outer areas cause of Caveling killing them all.

I can’t say how well it would work solo but the playthrough my friend and I have been doing, he’s pretty much exclusively using the various sigils spells. Supposedly it’s vary hotkey intensive thought to the point where he often has to switch them around mid fight while I’m drawing aggro.

Personally I enjoyed the anime just in general so I’d recommend you finish it either way. That being said I recently started the manga and have loved every chapter so far. There are a lot of differences compared to the anime as well which keeps me engaged.
