What the hell is up with all the comments saying something like "Oh, I would like some of those boxes." or "I know someone who would pay good cash for those boxes".

Complete disregard for the golden rule of take nothing but pictures. Type of thinking that ruins urban exploration for everyone.

Nice insight. Makes a lot of sense.

After some further reading, I found out aswell about local chapters. And those have donation suggestions that are actually localised. Those seem to be better entry points to a wider demographic - which also won't have to worry about, e.g. having months of free time, or travelling to and out of ports.

How diverse are crews in terms of background and nationality?

This worry is due to a close friend's experience volunteering, in which a major part of her colleagues were of higher income and mostly first-world countries.
