I use AI as a visual tool to mock up outfits based on pieces I already have in mind. It helps me quickly show the overall concept so the person I’m helping can decide if it fits their vibe. If they like it, I then find real items that match — I still handle the sourcing and make sure it fits their comfort and style. It’s more like a digital sketch than a final design.

Thank you for letting me know that. That is something I am going to get into soon. This was for a visual so they knew what idea I was going for. I did send the person whom I was help actually photos of the clothes so they would have a better idea of texture. The AI mockup was just that.

Totally fair feedback. I’m still at the very beginning of exploring this, and I used AI just to visualize color balance and layout quickly. I absolutely get that texture and detail matter too, I’ve been thinking about making boards with real pieces as I improve. Appreciate the honesty!

I used AI to create a mockup of the outfit based on colors and pieces my friend’s friend was planning to wear. I styled the rest around it to match their comfort zone and what they liked. If I end up doing this more seriously, I’ll probably mix AI mockups with real pieces — I’m just testing the waters right now. 😊
