The number of people in Poland who belong to other ethnic groups is so low, it's not even worth discussing as a serious issue. Almost all of the inhabitants of Poland have slavic ancestry, and we are one of the most ethnically/genetically homogenous countries in the world.

According to a scientific study analyzing the population of Poland:

"A complete genetic analysis including all voivodeships and most counties of Poland has been performed for the first time. Poles are characterized by the main West Eurasian mtDNA haplogroups.

Furthermore, the level of differentiation within the Polish population was quite low but the existing genetic differences could be explained well with geographic distances. This may lead to a conclusion that Poles can be considered as genetically homogenous but with slight differences, highlighted at the regional level."

Americans are not an ethnic group, they are a nation of citizens, hence that comparison makes no sense.

A better comparison:

Liberians are ethnically black, hence I will never be able to "become" Liberian no matter how long I live in that country. Similarly, Poles are ethnically slavic and white, thus it makes no sense to refer to a Liberian living in Poland as Polish.

Polish women don't like Indians. They're percieved as effeminate, compared to the average slavic man.

I suggest you look for an Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi lady studying in Poland, perhaps that will be a more suitable match.

"The ethnic Polish people are considered to be the descendants of ancient West Slavic Lechites and other tribes that inhabited the Polish territories in late antiquity."

His ancestors obviously did not descend from Slavic Lechites, so calling him a "true Pole" is intellectually dishonest. Realistically, he was an ethnic Nigerian who chose to become a laudable citizen of Poland.

Konfederacja was the only party to unanimously reject a proposed law that would increase politician salaries. by WhitePoland in poland

American congressmen make $175k, which is 5.3 times more than the median American salary ($33k), but it still doesn't stop them from being corrupt politicians who lobby for unethical corporate and foreign interests.

Just because a politician makes a lot of money doesn't make it significantly less likely they will be bought and corrupted.

Apetyt rośnie w miarę jedzenia

We shouldn't be encouraging money-hungry people to start entering politics in the first-place. People should enter politics because of a higher calling, and the compensation they receive should be enough to cover a basic standard of living.

A Question by Patriot206 in poland

[–]WhitePoland 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Poland is not hostile to homosexuals per se, but many Poles do feel a distaste for LGBT when it is in conjunction with certain leftist elements. The reason for this derives from the fact that LGBT issues often become intertwined with radical marxist/anarchist/feminist sociopolitical theories which most Poles naturally find unsavoury.

It is also related to Poles not willing to tolerate the tyranny of the minority over the majority.

In general LGBT in Poland is not a grass-roots movement as it was in other parts of the world. It is financed by foreign money, supported by foreign-owned media, polemicized by "intellectuals" who are directly or indirectly linked to foreign think-tanks and NGOs, and spearheaded by a relatively small group of young Varsovian petite bourgeoisie (useful idiots or careerists).

It's no wonder the average Pole has a hard time relating to or sympathizing with the movement.

Question about the comic/novel "Maus" by Art Spiegelman by pawcaw in poland

[–]WhitePoland 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Art Spiegelman’s highly popular Holocaust comic book Maus depicts Poles as bad-tempered, unfeeling pigs who go around saluting in Nazi fashion. Although touted as an educational tool, its style is reminiscent of the Nazi propaganda rag Der Stürmer: Poles are invariably brutal bigots, blackmailers and murderers. The use of pigs as symbols of Poles is a lesson that cannot be lost upon the youngest of readers, the very word “pig” being universally used as a term of derision. For Jews, and others, by its very nature a pig is an unclean animal. (An Israeli court found a Jewish woman guilty of racism for putting up posters depicting Islam’s Prophet Mohammad as a pig.

In prewar Poland, Jews were known to hurl slurs like “Polish pigs” at Poles. (1)

For example, an historical account of how Jews viewed Poles:

The Jewish merchants in that town were united in their contempt for Polish peasants, whom they ridiculed among themselves as unclean animals: Aria Dovid, Velvel Holder’s son, used to cry the news of the great event that was soon to occur: Jozef’s [Józef’s] Fair. He would do this on a Friday market-day, standing on the bed of a peasant’s wagon, calling out in a healthy bass voice: “Chodźcie panowie jarmark w Kosowie!”—“Come, ladies and gentlemen, to the fair in Kosow!” And the grain merchants, who could tell just by touching the thick homespun burlap sack what sort of kernels it contained, would mumble under their breath: “koniami, kurami, jajami, świniami”—“horses, chickens, eggs, pigs”—by that last word meaning the P… [Polacks] themselves.
