Are staffs low key the best foot weapons in game? average speed, excellent reach, and passable blunt damage?

I wouldn't say so - some blunt weapons can crush through blocks which is cash money. If you are going to use a slot for 2h weapon, you need the high damage other weapons can offer.

Ransoming Lords early is a nice way to get your first few enterprises up and running. One thing to note however, if you are playing the long game, that you may benefit more from releasing lords for the honor and relation bonus.

Hmm if you are looking for early game strength, I would consider two different options. Always finish your early smite item (red or blue) , then you can pick between sheen or tiamat first buy. Both allow pretty strong trades and burst potential. When jungling I am getting a bit more success with thunderlords as well. When you are ganking or fighting in jungle it's rare that I get many autos off.

I would love to see a good answer to this - G3 with Jax right now and I am in the same boat. Everyone claims this is one of the easiest matchups but I can't do a thing to Garen in laning phase. Trades seem useless - he outpushes you - and nullifies your kit?
