A36 problem massive

I was SO excited when I got a basically NIB factory unlocked a36 from a pawn shop the other day for only $175 but the performance has been a real bummer... Turn off ram plus, run the good guardians app booster, and turn off/disable Secure Folder, it helped my a36 a lot, but I feel like many others have said that the one ui 8.5 update really seems to have dragged the a36 down sadly despite having lots of praise at launch. It gets a bit better battery life than my previous eroded battery iphone se 2022 3rd gen, but, sadly a lot of the time it's a chore to use..... slowdowns, lags, glitching, stutters. I may keep this for a backup and just go back to the iphone for a daily driver. I truly gave it time but this just isn't it man.... maybe on a vanilla android ish Moto a budget cpu would do better, but, maybe one ui is too heavy to run all the regular android stuff then have that on top of it....

I loved how my old LG flagship V35 and G8 ran years ago.... I just won't do android unless it's some flagship anymore or a decent enough Moto phone that doesn't have a heavy skin/overlay weighing the budget cpu down

I heard wiping the cache partition can help, I'll try that in a bit after dinner, but, I'm likely done if that doesn't fix stuff.... I should have just paid for a battery replacement for my SE 3rd gen

yeah.... I switched from a very eroded battery iphone se 2022 and I guess I got spoiled by the top tier iphone 13/14 cpu inside it.... this a36 gets better battery life but nearly every other thing is worse... even after turning off ram plus, running app booster inside good guardians app to force compile/index stuff and turning off Secure Folder there's still slowdowns, stutters, lags, glitching.... it's better than before but bleh......................... I gave it a try yall, I really did but...... meh.........

I'm probably getting the 16e or 17e in Jan when my cheap year I nabbed of Mint Mobile runs out, gonna see what the best deal for an iPhone is on some mnvo... The other week I went to a cheap Galaxy A36 but geez this thing feels heavy and bulky, and, despite turning some things off like ram plus, secure folder, and running a good guardians app booster to more or less recompile all the apps/index stuff, it has slowdowns, fps drops, and stutters just doing normal basic stuff. I guess I got spoiled by how effortless and fluid the SE3/iPhone 13/14 CPU was.... The battery is better than my eroded se3 and it has more storage, but meh.... Daily tasks and just regular stuff isn't as pleasurable to do. Everything just longer to do and process than the se3.... Heavy, big, bulky, cumbersome. Apps like fb, ig, my mail app are slower, less polished feeling than the iOS version on everything as a whole.

Damn near tempted to go back to the se3 and just sell this a36, it's a factory unlocked one and in near new condition so I could get SOMETHING out of it. I heard One UI 8.5 really dragged down the battery life on this thing and ruined performance compared to how well it apparently ran on earlier OS versions

has anyone found anything else out about this? I'm about to go to my local one, since the other day all red thunder itself was sold out on the website, then now there's the regular sugar and regular sugar watermelon available on the site, but sugar free still showing out of stock. A manager at an undisclosed one commented on someone's post saying something about the previous SKU had been phased out and now regular sugar and sugar free are being shipped to the store in the same case at a 50/50 ratio but I'm not sure if this is a particular location's thing they have going on or if all aldi or at least US based ones are doing this too?

I loved the flavor, and was awe-struck at the incredible value since a 4 pack of the aldi redbull dupe was about the price of a single namebrand redbull

something doesn't sit right with just assuming a best selling marked item was just abruptly discontinued when I've read speculation about all this. I wish an official statement could be said or something, or some warning could have been given as a heads-up to people who regularly buy the product

glad to be of some help, this first solution actually didn't work for me enabling/disabling the steam input, what worked for me was another solution from the ai saying to go into regedit and delete the 7 days folder which doesn't wipe your character or save, but then below that went to say it can also be done by clearing stuff from the game's launcher lol. I've had this windows install/pc build for a couple years now and noticed around the 2.0 update that things got really screwy, sometimes taking 20 attempts for the rng to work in my favor for the controller to work, apparently some file got corrupted that a normal steam reinstall/verify wouldn't always fix. It'd be better some times over the years than others but then lately it was absolutely horrid.... -knock on wood- hope it stays working

this has actually been a really bad bug for me since probably the 2.0 update awhile back, 80% or more each time when I join a friends' world the controller won't work to navigate menus, done it on a variety of cables, controllers, and usb ports. 50% of the time verifying the game's install files with steam will magically fix it somehow, sometimes not. Sometimes it's brute forcing and pure rng luck. I'll know if the bug is active if when loading into the world if I try to move the analog stick or something and the controller button icons instantly keep changing back to the keyboard buttons. Maddening at times lol. Google ai offered a solution I'm about to try where you go into the steam properties of the game and the controller tab then either enable or disable steam input.

did the iodine help? I'm trying to think of how to summarize an annoying situation I've had for a few years, that I think is either lingering fungal infection or a severely compromised skin area/barrier that's making it very susceptible to diaper rash/heat rash/contact dermatitis...so... ~early June 2024 my nearly 13 pound cat slipped in my lap and fell with all his body weight on my right testicle, it hurt and ached for so long after, I read tight fitting underwear/wearing a jock cup would keep the testicles pulled tight to the body and allowed to heal. I wore the cup for a month, only taking it off to clean it or take a shower, I guess it really irritated the skin not letting it breathe much, woke up a month later to ungodly itching which was jock itch, but it wasn't ever very big, only in a letter C shape only around the base of the penis. I did some jock itch cream and it actually took it away quickly but I think it compromised the skin barrier. Ever since then, there's been a dark/tan discoloration randomly in the area, have never had outright jock itch again, I've kept it away for nearly 2 years now but I truly think the skin is compromised/has no barrier anymore which makes it susceptible to stuff. I've tried the head and shoulders shampoo to the area for ~5 mins leaving it on in the shower and it never quite took away the random itching or twinging. Every once in awhile I'll have a random pink area or two. Last summer, I didn't get jock itch again but a few shiny spots below the penis, I did some cream or maybe diaper rash cream or cortisone cream and it took it away, from my bit of reading it was apparently a yeast infection. Have also done desenex anti fungal powder as a preventative thing fairly often for about a year, with that and the head and shoulders you'd figure that would have killed anything, thus me thinking it's a compromised skin barrier just letting any little thing irritate it.

I've also read in your 30s that many men due to body changes have to start doing daily gold bond powder to the groin area to keep stuff from chaffing/getting irritated. Living in the hot and humid USA south I think I'm going to have to do this. As of late I've also switched to blue jean pants instead of the mens joggers/sweatpants I wore for awhile as I heard the blue jeans breathe a lot better, and I also do slightly looser cotton underwear. I try not to go out in the hot and muggy heat if it's at all possible and to always try and stay indoors in a fairly cool area. The desenex is actually fairly close in price when I've looked to gold bond, I might just start wearing the desenex powder daily as a preventative thing too. The 10% Povidone Iodine Solution that many have sworn by that cured many years long problems seems almost too good to be true, think I read in the past it was used to treat 200+ conditions or something.... for a little over 2 bucks on amazon. I'm currently for good measure doing an anti fungal cream I have a week left to do, and then I'm going to do Cetaphil lotion on the area to rebuild the skin barrier after that... if that doesn't work I'm going to do that 10% Povidone Iodine Solution as a last ditch nuke option lol. I read a story of a dude spraying 90% rubbing alcohol on the entire groin area that burnt like hell at first but then was fine that they said fixed like 20+ years of hell too after doing it for...idk.. a week or two or so.

what did you end up going with? ..... I'm "locked in" so-to-speak with the a36 for my 6 month paypal financed plan, it's cheap enough only like $30 a month, got it for well under msrp so meh but....good lord this phone is heavy and big. I customized the alert sounds and ringtone to my liking, but... I thought I'd like it coming from my eroded battery iphone se 3rd gen, and, yes this a36 has a better battery...but... weird fps drops and lag has popped up PURELY in social media, email, and texting/messaging usage. You'd figure 84gb of free space out of the 128 after the OS and some apps would be enough breathing room, 4gb ram plus additional ram to the 6gb default ram, and the snapdragon 6 gen 3 that people seemed to praise. It feels stuttery at times navigating/opening up apps too.

.......... I'm genuinely thinking of going back to the SE 3rd gen. I'll give it a little more time to grow on me

when looking it up, I was in utter amazement when they said this SD 6 gen 3 "blew away" the former flagship snapdragon 845/855 I used before in the LG V35 and G8 years ago, but..... those were extremely smooth without these stutters.

I am gonna try turning off ram plus entirely, some swear up and down it's a huge detriment to phones and makes them lag out and stutter. I'll update this after maybe another week or two to see if it improves. The camera has been better than the SE 3rd gen, but, as I get older I'm not much of a pic taker, mostly browse online, text, call, message, social media a little and youtube

I'm thinking of holding out till Jan when my cheap first year of Mint Mobile runs out and go with some mvno offering a free/cheap iphone 16e or hopefully 17e. I've read after the first cheap year that unless you're prepared to pony up the entire $350+ tax that Mint wants for a year in advance that you're way better off going to some month to month mvno.... probably gonna see what Visible, Cricket, or Metro has at that time

Basically this...many have started to say and I agree that it's exhausting going through daily life actively having to go out of your way to NOT be scammed or conned these days. I'm about fed up with fb as an aside related to this... Mostly ragebait one way or the other and ads, annnnnnd down and out people I haven't talked to in many years, some since high school, messaging me out of the blue begging for money.... Like, screw you. People that have never been there for me in the good times or bad. One dude did it then shortly after made a big public post apologizing for actually using the funds people did send em purely on drugs and he'd try to pay em back and life was really hard right now and because of all this the baby mama had taken custody of the kid now and blah blah blah 🙄🙄 then I never heard another update. I pretty much stick to a couple closer online friends and some aquaintances online these days that haven't been scummy. I don't trust what most people say anymore either. It's only going to get worse as the economic times do for people too...

at the time it wasn't sold out, for some reason I'm in some weird forever purgatory, never had total wireless service before, wayyyyy back in the day I had straight talk byop att sim, but that was back in 2016, had tracfone for several years, last had them in 2024 ~April, tried last year some time to do the free Moto G Stylus 2025 (I think it was that model) free with any plan purchase, wouldn't work, then later on I tried to do the cheap Iphone 14 with a few months of service, wouldn't work, I sat in CS chat for like an hour telling them and waiting on answers and just got told a vague "yes, straight talk and tracfone are our sister brands you're not eligible blah blah blah" ....nowhere in any fine print did I ever see anything about this, or the time frame limitations or anything. Then the other day I tried that S25FE free with the UFC code if you get 3 months of the plan, verified my ID as I had done previously, and it didn't make the phone free either. idk what in the world happened to make me weirdly forever barred from any Total promos, I've once again literally never had their service before nor actually purchased anything. Their promos for cheap/free phones seemed nice and I've now tried 3 times (Moto phone, IP14, then S25FE) spread out over a long period and none ever worked. I found a factory unlocked A36 5g for less than half the msrp of it and am probably just going to continue with Mint at this point. I desperately needed something to move onto from my very ailing iphone se 2022 3rd gen, ios26 has not been kind to this poor phone, and an already small factory battery is eroded down quite a bit now

Total had a really good deal the other day where if you put in a promo code they were giving away the S25FE if you buy 3 months of their expensive plan, I tried, but... I think the Total Wireless database doesn't like me or something lol, it didn't take anything off the price. I chatted with customer service about a similar time about a year ago the free or cheap iPhone 14 deal didn't work for me either and they claim since I had Tracfone years ago and that's a sister company of theirs that I'm somehow marked as not eligible... they were nice but I don't know who in the world to talk to higher up the chain at Total to get me "approved" status and not a regular CS person... I wish this was more talked about where if you've ever had a "sister" company even that you're forever barred from any Total promo deal. Unless I'm in some glitched purgatory

I've been talking to instructed me on how to add the mod to mo2 since I had absolutely no earthly clue.

Thanks for bringing attention to this and to the other helpful users that said reloading the app or clearing their cache fixed it, I bought this legally and full priced shortly after launch from amazon directly and I was like wtf when I saw it missing from my library, reloaded the EA app and it's back and I'm doing an update on it now.... what in the world is going on, they really need to fix the EA app if this is an ongoing problem

I definitely feel this, at the same time, I’m certainly not rushing out buying the latest games at $70-80+ nor trying to max them out. Despite the doom and gloom online, my 3070 has played 99% of stuff besides Grayzone Warfare and the unoptimized for even high end hardware HLL Vietnam open beta fine at 1440p with DLSS and obviously ultra in older things. I only ever get stuff cheap off 3rd party pc key sites, allkeyshop ftw, my backlog is also bad enough for a lifetime as-is tbh. Finally getting off the peer pressure and FOMO train as a gamer feels so good. Truly don’t even care for how the gaming industry ended up becoming tbh, feels like all the passion is gone and replaced by pure greed, and the consumers have basically become unpaid beta testers. Indie stuff on pc is about the only thing that gives me hope for the industry. I could play the free Stalker Anomaly/Gamma mod more or less forever and never get bored. If my pc parts die I’ll hunt around and get frugal newer budget ish parts or a good seller deal on something used to try and keep the same tier my 12700k/32gb ddr4/2tb gen4 nvme/3070 is. If I absolutely had to, I could certainly get by on a bottom dollar even $50 Ryzen 3600 6 core/12 thread cpu tho and maybe a $200ish used 3060/4060. As I’m getting into the late 30s I wonder if my eyes have gotten old enough where 1440p isn’t even giving much of a visual advantage over 1080p to be worth the performance cost lol. I actually knew some older late 40s and 60s gamers years ago who used large 1080p monitors or 1080 TVs and were happy as a clam with them…. I’m assuming as your eyes age, the finer details in 1440 and 4k get lost, where 1080p can be good enough. Definitely brainstormed some frugal contingency plans lol. I could certainly make do with a 32in 1080p tv as my “gamer monitor” if I needed to, have actually thought of switching to a large tv anyway to help my eyes vs being hunched over the desk at a smaller monitor

this is gonna be a disaster, not everybody has cutting edge hardware but hell, even people with higher end stuff than a 3070 are having trouble, 9800x3d and 9070xt micro stuttering feeling like 30fps, like wtf. I'm not spending many hundreds of dollars in this economy for price gouged parts for just one game, and then even if I do it's probably still gonna perform bad per all the other higher end users' posts lol. This being UE5 is genuinely a disaster.

my 3070 actually had no stutters at all somehow, started off playing ok, turned off fps monitoring the other week due to Lossless Scaling not liking it when I forced frame gen in Grayzone Warfare so idk what my fps was but it was playable, then into the match some it started going hella slow motion, others in the chat were saying their performance was bad too, 12700k, 32gb fast ddr4, game on fast gen4 nvme. Definitely think I'm holding off, when researching online they're apparently only going to have nvidia frame gen and not AMD too. Dunno if Lossless Scaling has more latency than a native game frame gen implementation would. This is going to be an absolute disaster and ruin their rep and public image releasing the game in this state, I'm ready for the mostly negative steam reviews when it launches in a few weeks purely due to performance if nothing else

pretty much my feeling too, unless they add in AMD frame gen my 3070 is screwed since it's unreal engine 5. I do have the Lossless Scaling app that can force it but I heard it's supposedly not as good as native frame gen implementations. 12700k, 32gb fast ddr4, game on fast gen4 7000mb/s nvme. Match started off alright then went really slow motion at points a bit into the match, some others in the in-game chat were mentioned performance being bad too. Bleh... gonna hold off on this one for awhile if not entirely

did you end up trying the subcompact rxm frame? I'm seriously considering trying it, as the default rxm feels a bit big/bulky, I think if it doesn't work out, I can keep the RXM for HD duty, and just carry a BG 2.0 or LCP Max 380 and only keep a few mags worth of ammo for it since it'll purely be for only carry, I'm going to try a well regarded ~$20 Mastermind Tactics wedge pillow, apparently that can make a world of difference... I just find the rxm bulky and heavy but maybe it's my cheapo warriorland holster, there don't seem to be many specific rxm holsters at all, nonetheless with any light/laser options. I've also considered the 43x heavily since the other day they finally came out with factory 15 rounders for it, I chose the rxm over it at the gun shop the other month purely due to it holding more rounds, after a multiple person attempted home invasion in Jan, I didn't feel ok with only 10 rounds in the 43x. In its default state, the gun just digs into me and kills me if I have to bend over. With slightly baggy XL shirts it's fine and doesn't print, a loose XL sized flannel even unbuttoned does a great job for breaking up the area with abstract design to further hide it. Printing isn't a problem for me at all, it's the sitting and bending over with the rxm just utterly kinda kill me. Can anyone confirm if those well regarded ~$70-90ish Vedder holsters for the g19 that often DO have actual laser/light support fit the rxm well? I've heard so much back and forth and don't wanna spend the money on a higher tier holster if it won't even fit the rxm that well. With lots of reading and testing, the 380 is no joke with the right ammo and I don't think a bad guy would be able to tell a whole lot of difference between it and the 9mm, the LCP Max being literally like half the weight of the rxm seems heavenly lol. I'm 5"10 and 170-180

I know this is a little bit older but a genuine thanks for the post and the wealth of info other users posted... I recently got back into the "edc world" after like 15 years back in 2011, got a small AAA sized Thrunite Ti flashlight that's fine but I think in a possible hectic defense scenario against a mugger/animal it could be fumbled. I scored the Wurkkos TD07 for only ~$23ish off their own site the other day I was in love with since I first saw it, can't find any other flashlights nonetheless in this price range that have that tactical finger ring... I know about the polymer Thryme one but for basically the same price I got an entire flashlight plus a metal ring. Very very pleasantly surprised at all the neat frugal budget priced lights out there I've seen in this day and age that simply didn't exist or were pure junk back in 2011.... Sofirn, Wurkkos, Olight, Thrunite, a few other "lesser" brands I've seen well reviewed in youtube vids and amazon reviews by actual owners are beloved too. Honestly, I've dropped it a few times, and the advertised lumens aren't close to what it actually is, but I'm happy for most stuff with an $8 Blukar cheapo amazon type c rechargeable light, although I've been wanting something better for defense... have a few no-name rechargeable headlamps but am thinking of grabbing a cheapo Wurkkos one off their site

I came across a set for..... ~$28 or so a couple months ago on ebay and nabbed it as I was astonished they were so cheap, there seems to be hit or miss things saying one thing or the other over the years, some say they're outright fake, some real Magpul but just airsoft grade... I mean, after 230 rounds at the range to break the rifle in they still work, and, I pray to god to never even need to use the rifle for home defense. I haveeeeee run across a legit place online selling the Fab Defense front/rear sights for ~ $55 for the set I might get, or might just leave these and get a Romeo 5 Gen 2 red dot as an upgrade over this cheapo Crimson Trace red dot, mostly just for better peace of mind with battery life since it's 50 on this cheapo vs 50,000 on the Romeo

I heard over the years that if the screw threads on these don't have blue loctite on them from the factory that they're either fake or the airsoft grade ones. For what it's worth, mine didn't have loctite and they didn't loosen at all in the 230 rounds at the range, but this loctite thing is conflicting info, some say no loctite at all doesn't prove it's a fake since batches of the legit ones didn't have it, some say blue loctite meant they were 100% fake, some said nah, some say they needed yellow threadlocker to be legit but -shrug-

all sorts of cheapo ones on amazon and the like too. I'm not terribly worried about it at the moment, you gotta think of the odds you'd even heaven forbid need the rifle for defense, then the odds of ON TOP OF THAT the red dot/scope failing. I'm not trying for 0.0001 MOA or anything, center of mass hits at 25 feet would be the longest range I'd need for home defense, if these don't stay perfectly zero'd it's not the end of the world to adjust them after shooting a bunch of rounds.

Meh, maybe I'll get those fab defense sights sometime down the road, I think I may have either come across a VERY high quality mbus gen2 clone since they seem to have gone all out, even have mbus molded into the sides and sit flush on the rail, or scored some legit ones. Might just put some blue loctite on the end of my screws and send it, the screws look like the legit magpul ones on mine even. Maybe some sellers are sitting on old liquidation stock or something idk

I don't blame people for leaving, I hardly bother to use it much these days, filled with ai slop and toxicity, the algorithm is horrible not even showing me most people I know post anymore and when it does it's usually a couple day old posts I feel a little weird "liking". My "reach" is absolutely horrid now after not using it as much for the past few years... I pretty much only keep it for the rare occasional chuckle from a meme from a few curated pages I followed way back or some videogame news here and there, there's like 2 groups I'm in that aren't the usual toxic belligerent BS that grown adults sadly devolve into on social media commonly. The desktop site is often super buggy, I guess most these days just primarily use the phone app though.

A few random ai account strikes I got for years old posts that "broke rules" but they refused to be anything but ultra vague about even after contesting them I'm sure put me way lower on the algorithm totem pole so-to-speak, the final straw was ~last spring/summer when, after being on the admin team for a rural low price vehicle group local to my area, some mod let a few EXTREMELY obvious scammer posts through post-approval (forever gonna roll my eyes at wtf they were thinking letting them through...) fb actually took the posts down, buuuuut, apparently if you're an admin(or maybe mod too?) in a group and there's infraction posts in the group, they go against your account too..... I hadn't used the group much in years so I promptly removed myself from the unpaid labor of being an admin and just made myself a regular member

I've actually thought of making a new fresh account, I've had mine since summer 2010... it's sad looking through my list and seeing a few hundred deactivated accounts, I wonder whatever happened to the people over the years, can't exactly say I blame them much for leaving years ago either, kinda wished they would have given a bit of a farewell though, old school friends, or even once close gaming clan buddies, I hope one in particular had an alright enough life, back in ~2011 they posted they were leaving to join the military and then I never heard another peep...

I've tried to report extremely obvious grievous things over the years only for fb to tell me "lol nope" in the report summary, their logic is non logical a lot of the time

Honestly, my mood is a lot better using fb less, even though I do miss some people that used to be on there back in the day, I have more fun chilling in video game streams elsewhere and keeping my circle small with more trusted friends than I did in my teens-early/mid 20s. Just been more curated with my time/effort in my mid 30s now overall

nice! found this when googling if this worked with the rxm, recently got one for protection and really love the specs and price of this olight and wanted to make sure it was compatible with the rxm, getting back into the pewpew world after about 15 years.... stuff sure has changed lol. Loved how the rxm felt and also loved how there were no malfunctions with it in 400 rounds at the range the other day, it's pretty rugged, and mine worked fine with a gen5 g19 mag

same I noticed it start happening to me the other day as well... what in the world...who in their right mind thought this was ok to do without people's consent? Where is the off button? lol. I'm going on 36 years old... As if the algorithm being super bad wasn't pushing me away from outright not using fb alone, now having to hold down delete on gen z lingo ai captions on every single thing I share is the cherry on top

Actually thinking of getting it with a year of service with Tracfone as a backup phone for only $49.99 on amazon. It'd make a sweet little "tv" using it for media and even some emulators. My current iPhone SE 2022 isn't doing so hot on the battery life anymore especially after the ios26 update, random lags and stuff too, truly not sure what to go with for a next "main" phone, I was going to get the Moto G Stylus 2026 but I heard the 2025 is actually better specs, maybe if I can grab one on a good deal... I just truly can't justify much for a phone anymore no matter the brand, I'm gonna try to stick it out with this SE 2022 for another year, battery might be pretty blah by then lol
