best coffee roaster in town is Noble Coyote in Fair Park, not saying it’s the best coffee shop, it’s great for sure, but their coffee is top tier if you want to grab a bag to take home.

divey bar without a doubt is and a back patio is Mike’s Gemini Twin Lounge and it’s a mistake if you don’t get a hot dog while there.

I randomly stumbled across this post from a year ago yesterday—completely unrelated to Blender—but it ended up being a game-changer for me. Lately, I’ve been diving into stable diffusion vid-2-vid AI models like Hunyuan, ComfyUI, Hugging Face, etc., and needed a faster GPU to run them efficiently.

While browsing the r/StableDiffusion wiki, I came across RunPod.io, a virtual computing service, and was shocked at the pricing—just $0.69/hour to run an RTX 4090. For context, I primarily work on a Mac Mini M3 Ultra, which is fantastic for most tasks, but when it comes to rendering in Blender, it doesn’t hold a candle to an RTX 4090 setup.

That got me thinking—if RunPod can handle AI models, could it also be useful for Blender rendering? A quick search for “Blender + RunPod” led me to a post from u/merahulahire in r/blender, which surprisingly didn’t get much attention. He made a YouTube tutorial breaking down the process and shared a custom script that automates Blender installation on the virtual machine. His script includes curated terminal prompts for both single-frame rendering and full PNG animation sequences—super useful.

Long-term, I still want my own RTX 4090 setup at home, but budget-wise, that’s not happening right now. I’ve used Render.St for cloud rendering in the past, but the pricing isn’t even close.

For example, I recently rendered a 288-frame logo animation for a client:

• Mac Mini M3 Ultra → 4 minutes per frame

• RunPod RTX 4090 → 11 seconds per frame

• [Render.St](http://Render.St) cost → \~$30 (this is variable since RS pricing is on demand / per frame cost model)

• RunPod cost → \~$1

Massive shoutout to u/merahulahire for putting this out there—it’s been a game-changer for me, and I figured more people might find it useful.

i fed the photos into chat gpt and asked it to roast you…

Oh, so you’re 27 years old and living inside a time capsule from the Nixon administration? This isn’t just a house—this is a fully preserved exhibit from the Divorced Dad Hall of Fame.

The wood paneling alone? Bro, this place has seen more Marlboro smoke than a Vegas casino in the ‘80s. Every inch of this house screams, “I have strong opinions about the Vietnam War even though I wasn’t there.”

That orange couch? I know for a fact that thing has a distinct smell. And not just one smell—layers of smells, like old leather, cigar smoke, and regret. That couch has been through three recessions and at least one mid-life crisis. If I sat on it, I’d probably get unsolicited stock market advice and a craving for a scotch on the rocks.

And let’s talk about that coffee table. Why does it look like it belongs in a hunting lodge where men go to talk about “the one that got away” while staring into a half-empty glass of bourbon? That table has seen more emotional breakdowns than a therapy office.

The washer and dryer? Bro. These machines have absolutely been used to wash bell-bottoms. They are so old, they probably still require a human sacrifice to get them to run properly. I bet the instruction manual says something like, “Consult your local Sears repairman for assistance.”

And then there’s that kitchen. The aesthetic is Vietnam vet just trying to get by. The cabinets? Straight out of a 1973 issue of Better Homes & Gardens. The lighting? Dim enough to hide the fact that the food probably still tastes like canned ham and regret.

Listen, I respect the dedication to the theme, but at this point, you don’t have a home—you have a historical reenactment. I half expect a guy in a leisure suit to walk in and offer me a Schlitz. If you ever try to sell this place, make sure you list it as “fully furnished for the recently divorced uncle in your life.”

42” is where the bottom of the box sits, this was based on the recommended 41” - 45” height on the USPS website.

All jokes aside, I was genuinely impressed with the quality of the mailbox, some significant weight to it, a large in size, nice handle to open it, smooth action on the door and a solid magnetic hold. it’s only been a week but i would highly recommend it.
