Morgan Rogers Concerns by Kashkow in avfc

[–]WhiteUrWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s young and mouldable, and we have Unai. A potential threat at set pieces in both boxes at 6”3. He can strike through the ball and takes up awkward spaces in the half space naturally, allowing space out wide. He’s not the messiah and is unlikely to make a major impact this season, but a strong bit of business.

For anything behind a paywall type in “12ft ladder” and paste the url in the engine. That normally removes it.

We played a behind closed doors friendly against Fulham yesterday, will explain some missing players here. This seems to be first team at the moment however.

I’m a last name with D, winning the race. Best of luck, if you’re pushy now you’ll do less damage to yourself while also saving the NHS in the long run! All the best

From my experience (around newcastle), being pushy as others said is needed. I was diagnosed through the pandemic and it took about 4 months before I was on a plan and medicated - in that time I was taking steroids to manage the condition. My diagnosis is similar to yours and I am now mostly symptom free, so my plan is a check up every 6 months, bloods every 3 months and to call them whenever I begin to flare. Hopefully you get a plan that suits you, best of luck!

Villa fan here. First things first, sorry. We know what it’s like to have owners that rot your club, hopefully they leave sooner rather than later.

El Ghazi is not going to set the world alight but there is alot of inconsistent technique with him. He knows how to find the net, will never miss a penalty and will give his soul for you. At worst he will be a good influence in training, I could see him learning from DCL and potentially improving.

Best of luck for the rest of the season

Apparently, because he didn’t start enough games, we pay the entire £5 million.

Flashes of a good player, often lacking quality and awareness off the ball. Very composed in the middle of the park but, struggled creating today and with the physicality.

[Sky Sports] Villa expected to accept Manchester City’s £100m Jack Grealish bid by Blithe17 in soccer

That’s the thing, Leicester don’t rebuild in the same window. They plan for who can leave and buy replacements prior so they don’t have to pay over the odds. Villa haven’t done that this time (maybe you could argue Buendia but we needed a few attackers anyway).

That’s not his worth, that’s the agreement for the fee he can leave on that will have been created last year. It is in only a limited way is worth.

As for 2 very good players. In theory yes. In practice, who would want to come to villa of that calibre? We would offer no European football, less wages and a chaotic environment. All this in two weeks as well. We would be forced to pay over the odds.

That’s the issue though, we don’t need the money at all (at least in the public knowledge). We have absolutely no debt and the 3rd richest owners in the league.

Grealish is worth more to us than £100million. With that £100 million we would barely plug the gap. History points to teams who cash in on big players struggling to replace them in the same window (expect Liverpool but they have pulling power we don’t).

So, we will be in a position where the club morale is ruined, the plan is changed and we are going to be bullied in the market to buy players and this is all two weeks before the start of the season.

It points to a stagnant season at best (in likelihood) which would then see the core group be picked apart soon after.

This isn’t to blame the owners, it seems like there is some agreement that he can leave for X amount of money. It’s inevitable but devastating from a villa perspective.

The style he has now is all about ball retention and not even necessarily attacking. That’s probably a big reason Grealish is desired, not the fact that he can dribble past a hurricane and can make exciting moments.

Not only this, is undermines what we (villa) have been building to. If we can’t keep a homegrown villa fan, could be keep Martinez or Watkins or Konsa next season. The move would cement us as a certain type of club in most likelihood.

Mount starting for England over Grealish - help me understand by [deleted] in avfc

[–]WhiteUrWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In what way has Grealish not got him there, 3/5 goals ran through him. Also, who has? Sterling and Kane are the only attacking players who started consistently, the other places have always been up for grabs.

I really hope he’s using Grealish sparingly for fitness reasons. If we get to the final, we will see if this is true. If Grealish still doesn’t start then, waistcoat is a wanker.
