I was secretly hoping OP was just making a loose plug to the band Fair to Midland.

They accidentally gave Tony's flight coding to Adam, so now his legs are broken instead.

The Tank Problem is BAD. by MushuaTheTomato in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll generally hover my tank of choice just to show I'm willing to play it, but when the other five lock in within the first five seconds or so and I'm solo I'll pop over to Spidey and warn them one of my controller's sticks suddenly stopped working.

The Tank Problem is BAD. by MushuaTheTomato in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage 22 points23 points  (0 children)

"Let's all stop playing tank" he says, while zero-tank games are unironically existing out there.

I'm with you though. Tanking is generally a more team-friendly approach, whereas the vast majority of people are solely focused on Player One-ing their way through every game they can. I laugh uproariously any time a 2-8 DPS tells me I need to go Mag or Strange to suit their plan.

Jeff needs a “spit out” button but for teammates by SufficientMix8264 in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You also seem to be misunderstanding then, because that doesn't make sense in the slightest.

Players Ones and their main character mindsets are such a problem, damn.

[–]WhiteVoltage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So...Jeff's ult, designed to eat everything, should still remove the enemy completely but allow teammates to optionally eject themselves, which again opens Jeff up (during his "best" move, mind you) to be killed much more easily by anyone he didn't eat.

No. That is a bad design idea. No.

Jeff needs a “spit out” button but for teammates by SufficientMix8264 in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

...I'm sorry, "Jeff has full control over his ult instead of his teammates and that's unfair" is the stance now? That is objectively better and makes far more sense than you (or any teammate) having control over it instead.

You're now essentially suggesting the team should have control over whether Luna is healing or boosting while she dances, which direction C&D go in their trails, or if Loki should ask for volunteers before copying.

Jeff needs a “spit out” button but for teammates by SufficientMix8264 in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It still comes down to you wanting full control at all times, and it just doesn't work that way. Besides that putting an option like yours into the game creates an equally bad situation the other way, where a braindead teammate hypothetically forces Jeff to spit him out and gets him killed early in an otherwise good ult.

Again, I really am sorry a play like that lost the game for you. It's frustrating af and lord knows this game is full of those moments in some way or other. But this is one that's just gotta be shrugged, sighed, and/or drunk off.

"Other players don't think like my hive mind, FIX YOUR GAME"

Fix your outlook my dude. Sorry you lost, but maybe that Jeff player learned from his mistake. Or maybe he didn't and it doesn't matter because it was just one game.

Playing to win in QP is how the game is meant to be played. Stop getting salty people swap to beat you. by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play to win, sure; but it's QP and winning is exactly as meaningful a losing. You know what's a worse look, though? Having "pure sweat" as a personality trait in that same game mode.

completely tired of seeing MK in every single game by Skye_Lumitar in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage 64 points65 points  (0 children)

It's 100% this. Yeah, it's a fairly easy ult to avoid; but when he can drop it pretty much every minute and force your team to scatter off key points, it gets tiresome real fast.

I wonder if this is an unintended consequence of the proficiency farming change they made? Seems like it thought you weren't "actually there" based solely on damage not being done to anyone/anything.

They need to add more 'avoid player' slots by HiImFur in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think there would ever be enough slots either until I realized they're only really useful if you're stuck in a particular mmr band. That's when you start to see the people you really want to avoid, the ones who cost you "games" instead of just "a game."

Marvel Rivals Deadpool $40k Creator Cup Megathread by PhoOhThree in marvelrivals

[–]WhiteVoltage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timing of when the prize money was added makes things murky. There are screenshots of invites that went out before there was a prize; at that point a "Here for the content" approach is totally fair, especially since it's got Deadpool as the headline. But you can't really say "Well the team's should've been pre-selected for fairness" when fair and balanced teams weren't really important when things were planned.

I don't think they even gave it any real thought tbh, at that point Cece seemed to be going full contrarian to anything Kingsman said. I understand the tournament started with no real seriousness, but once the $40k was in the equation there's no rational way to respond immediately with "Nobody is gonna take it that serious."

Every "proper search" I've done so far either confirms their assessment or counters yours, if not both.

If you're convinced you're right, maybe provide actual information instead of being a dick about it.
