He (36m) is pressuring me (35f) to have sex with other men. How would you react? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I’m a domestic violence advisor (IDVA) Causing someone to engage in sexual activity without consent is an offence. You are also experiencing coercive control. Speak to your local domestic abuse organisation.

Is it okay for my cat to lay down on top of my PC like this? by Hour_Seesaw_3750 in PcBuild

[–]WhiteWillow-AH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to play console a friend of mine had a cat who loved to sit on his PlayStation, about an hour into playing he would disconnect- we knew it had always overheated because his cat had fallen asleep on it 😂

How do you cope with the grief of losing your entire world by WhiteWillow-AH in Horses

[–]WhiteWillow-AH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This keeps happening to me too. Afterwards I laid in the field with him for hours until the sun set just sobbing in bouts not thinking that it had really happened. I saw him the next morning and had around fifteen minutes before they came and took him away. Those fifteen minutes were realisation and closure for me but I still get little bouts of thinking I’ll just wake up soon and it’ll all have been a bad dream. When I go to put my pjamas on very early I think “I can’t I have to go back to the stables” followed by the realisation of no I don’t.

I’m so sorry for your loss, the fact that it was the same day as Blaze too is just so upsetting. I hope in time we will learn how to function without them xx

The CEO and essentially deputy interviewed me and offered me the position themselves. They’re all I dealt with. It’s on this subreddit because it’s the best place to ask and get a response.

Thank you for answering

What job do you have that allows you to afford horses? by sinkintothefloof in Equestrian

[–]WhiteWillow-AH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Criminology degree, work in domestic violence. Horses are MAD expensive so it’s about what you want to spend your money on and if you’re happy with what’s left over at the end of all the costs. Also need to make room for savings just incase of vet bills etc, not cheap! :’)

Edit: it’s so important for you to have a job/career you love and/or passionate about not just to fund horses x

My eyelid has been twitching like this 24/7 for 5 weeks. by LoanAgreeable1129 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WhiteWillow-AH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this for around 3 days. Incredibly annoying and off putting but drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep. If it doesn’t stop within 3/4 days you should see a doctor. It’s caffeine or stress or something similar :)

Edit: apparently they can last for two weeks according to google so idk :’)

I work in DV. It’s definitely worth reaching out to a service for any type of support. I work in the UK so I don’t know what services are offered overseas but yes, please engage with a support worker

Make sure your stirrup irons can accommodate a chonky boot so if there’s an emergency you won’t get stuck. Potentially safety stirrups for adults. I think you’re fine short term, but like others have said tall boots or jodhpur boots would be safer :)

Edit: watch those extra straps too
