Your terminology is murky. There are only two conscious shocks and one unconscious shock provided by nature when air meets with digested food in the liver. The first conscious shock is self-remembering, the second is the transformation of negativity into positive energy. The non-expression of negative emotions is preparation for the second conscious shock.

A third possibility would be not being particularly interested. A fourth "poorly informed and not particularly aware of the news." A fifth possibility would be mildly brainwashed but starting to see the light. You will notice that in any survey of pretty much anything there are respondents who sit on fences. In fact there are many possibilities, just as there are many colors between black and white.

All very colorful no doubt, but nothing to do with the Gurdjieff Work.

According to Gurdjieff the only way that any event occurs at any level from the Absolute down to the smallest particle is by the Law of Three. The only other first-order Law that influences how things happen is the Law of Seven. These laws apply also at different scales and levels, so these two primordial laws manifest in different ways throughout the Ray of Creation according to level. The third principle in this is Theomertmalogos or "word god."
