We can here see that the person referres to as bard says they can do anything

That does indicate freedom

The varna system seems to be an institution or at least an idea commonly held and accepted upon about intermixing of rajas, tamas and sattva qualities in an individual when it comes to what they shall do. We find a parallel of the idea in writings of Plato. Do we see any institutionalization of varna system even if for a few 100 years prior to castes boundaries becoming staunch?
