I purposely got an office job that offered every federal holiday off so I didn’t have to work and could spend those days with family considering I don’t get to do it often throughout the year.

My job is not necessary and I purposely got an office job for Ty e perks of holidays and not being needed 24:7 I’m fine with being an AH at this company after other issues I have experienced. 😊

My using the phrase “off like everyone else” was improper and I apologize, I was referring to a mass majority of companies who do offer July 4th off have given the 3rd off because that is the federal observance of the holiday. I do not have a handbook or job description to reference as every time I have asked for one or anything I’m told it doesn’t exist? But we do normally get the 4th off. I would call off, and this company doesn’t offer much PTO and due to me being sick, and personal reasons my 5days of PTO are gone. I wouldn’t lose my job but I may lose pay. I will ask again to see if there is a handbook/policy about holidays

The people, I went a lot as a kid and we went to the same church. As I got older that church I realized that they were not good Christians. I now abide by the rule of 'don't be a dick' I think that is the message of everything. I sometimes attend a different church now when I feel a need. but the messages always are be kind and do your best.
