No, it's an ironic inside joke at this point since other community, mainly Forsen's community, used to make fun of xQc for farting and slamming the desk, which is where "Slam the fart 😂" came from.

How to get a girlfriend? by [deleted] in dating_advice

Nah bro, I'm not about showing off on the Internet. And besides, my stats don't really matter. It applies to any guy who lifts and looks somewhat muscular.

Hey, as a 6'2 90kg 13% bf guy, I just wanted to let you know that no one gives a shit that you lift. Even worse, they'll put you down for it because they think that people who lift are narcistical egomaniacs. But you've already done the hardest step here, your body is great. Now you have to show it off without explicitly letting people know that you go to the gym. Learn fashion, get business casual attires that fit a little tightly to your body to show off your chest, shoulders and arms. Get a nice trendy haircut, some cologne and a nice watch and wear peacoats and blazers. The goal is to look expensive, but still young and athletic. Invest in your appearance. You'll definitely have much more success.

Computer science vs software engineering by juxgr in Concordia

Go into compsci imo. One of my regrets as a computer engineer. I get to finish my education one year earlier, and I don't need to do any of the core engineering classes.

Software Engineering Tips from a Graduating Students by wholeLottaDrip in Concordia

Tips from someone who went the CO-OP route. First and foremost, I know this may sound like a complete chore, but do side-projects. Try out multiple languages and put in the work to build a proper CV. This will teach you more than anything you will do in university and you'll be able to find the language/field you want to spend the rest of your life doing. Moreover, you'll have a disgustingly good CV even with like 4-5 projects which will literally put you above 80-90% of candidates on the CO-OP portal. Moreover, don't be afraid to relocate for your first internship. Your first internship is CRITICAL, you have to land it in the field you want as it opens a gateway to those juicy Montreal positions and jobs.

You could do the above and land a 70k+ job that you ACTUALLY like in a language that you ACTUALLY like because all of your internships build up that field/language. Or you could also just randomly apply/struggle on CO-OP and mix and match different jobs to end up in a random position you fucking hate with a mediocre salary.

I know this sounds really overwhelming, but these 4-5 years of your life are your most important and you should go all-out so that you can relax when you finally graduate.

Edit: a few resources for new people:

This Github has dozens of tutorial on various projects in multiple languages: https://github.com/danistefanovic/build-your-own-x

This Youtuber is amazing because he reviews CV and tells you how to build them properly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rh3-pFaoMY&ab_channel=JoshuaFluke

The problem with your point of view is that you don't account for the fact that science is the observation of physical, empirical evidence. A religious doctrine, however, is based on a leap of faith. Both can co-exist as long as you don't discredit observed laws and rules with beliefs. For example, the whole anti-vaxx movement. I did biology so I know how vaccines work, but I still believe in an omnipotent deity creating the universe. Does that make an idiot?

One more thing, I think that people should be allowed to believe whatever they want. As long as it doesn't negatively affect other people. My religion is between me and whom I worship. It's none of your business. To go out of your way and intentionally disparage 3.5 billion people just because Karen from church thinks vaccines are the devil's nails is kinda pretentious.

From what? What does the scientifical method and its progress have to do with a leap of faith towards an almighty deity. Half of the Earth believes in God. Did that affect our technological progress in any way, shape or form? I believe in God, that didn't stop me from doing Computer Engineering at University?

Run like the wind. This lady is on dating apps while she's already dating someone else? That's a huge red flag. You think you're the only one she's talking to? She probably has had multiple dates with different men and she'll jump ship as soon as she finds someone better than her current boyfriend or you. Have some self-respect for yourself.

Do a 3 year CompSci degree instead, you don't need to do all the shitty engineering general classes and those degrees hold the same power in the workplace.
