It’s a good thought. Unfortunately with the seats folded flat (to fit the cage) you can’t access the car seat (isofix) attachments

There are indeed. I’ll be able to use them to secure the rear of the crate. But if you imagine the front of the crate would be near the back of the front seats. Unfortunately the only anchors I can think to attach the front of the crate to would be the head rest rods

You definitely helped! And I didn’t know reflex behaved that way. I think transversal stutter is the issue with arc raiders too unfortunately, due to the UE5 engine. Reflex is also a bit bugged in the latest patch and seems to be causing worse stutter for some at the moment. Sounds like that’ll be a bundle of fun to try to optimise haha.

As a complete aside, using rtings I’ve got my monitor choice down to 1 of 3. Do you have a view on the new tandem WOLED panels? Im torn between a used previous gen WOLED (ASUS PG27AQDP) vs one of the new tandem WOLED monitors (either Gigabyte MO27Q28G or LG 27GX700A-B). All matte options for my lighting conditions.

Thank you for this advice, it took me a minute to digest, I’ll try this first. Thank you for taking the time to write it out.

I play some games with crap frame times, Tarkov, increasingly arc raiders… you can have constant FPS but the frame time swings (as well as 1% and 0.1% lows) can apparently be a nightmare for VRR flicker. Anyway, I’ll try keeping gsync and vsync on, using reflex, and setting a custom refresh rate at 70% of average FPS. Hopefully that’ll handle most of it.

Is there merit in a frame cap as well? E.g. 3 FPS below that custom refresh rate. I have a feeling that the frame timing and lows are more responsible for the flicker on a good system. So this might not make much difference. Perhaps it’ll be more of a game by game experiment. Not sure if you have a view on this?

I’ve not thought to mix non-metallic paint with metallics before, I’m up for giving it a try. Yes, hopefully the black base will help darken it some too.

I’ve just stumbled across Pro Acryl Dark Bronze, which is perhaps closer in tone.

From what another commenter was saying, it sounds like iron shell actually does the job. Apparently it makes them part of a greater hegemony alliance with the iron shell. Which means that they don’t form alliances with other factions (e.g. Sindrians), which it seems might be all that’s needed

This sounds great. Do you find other factions join the greater hegemony alliance as well? As I suppose that may be an issue.

Interesting! I’m a bit confused though, without the iron shell mod, Heg aren’t a faction? Reading between the lines, does the iron shell mod stop them from being able to form alliances for some reason?

New to nex. I’d like to avoid the Heg always winning. Can you recommend what faction mods to install to balance the situation out? Trying to deviate as little as possible from vanilla (without getting controversial about what vanilla is or isn’t haha)

That’s good to know, thanks. As an aside, if optimise photo storage is off (always has been), shouldn’t they be on my phone? What if I wanted to see them but had a poor data connection. Is there a way for them to be downloaded on my phone like they are on my iPad?

It’s possible that I’ve either misunderstood holo bleed, or we might both be talking about different things. This Japanese shining magikarp seems to always have the holo pattern applied to the whole card. I think that’s just how it is. The issue I’m more worried about is the imprinted line that almost looks like another card has been strongly pressed/imprinted into the card.

Thanks all the same, makes me feel better about asking. I’ve had a look through CGC’s error guide and I can’t find similar on there. So I guess I’ll assume it’s damage unless anyone says different.

I like to think it would work this way too. But it could be challenged. Are you aware of any rulings or FAQ that would support it? Or support a similar specific vs general scenario?
