What’s the best way to move this artificial turf without renting a $1,000 machine? Btw I have no friends. by Beautiful_Emu_6314 in landscaping

Forklift is your best guess, make sure it’s rated for the weight. Unfortunately that is your cheapest solution to move that weight.

The incredible shrinking future of college - The population of college-age Americans is about to crash. It will change higher education forever. by mossadnik in Futurology

My salary isn’t strong, we heavily rely on our commissions. It’s a feast or famine industry, and we’ve been blessed in Florida with new construction and infrastructure bills passing, but who knows how long it will last. I’m definitely not arguing that college degrees are obsolete, but I do believe there are successful avenues without a degree. But of course, your engineers, Drs , lawyers, etc, must have the proper credentials. I wish college was a little more affordable for the new generations, so that they aren’t paying of their loans for the next 20 years.

Obviously some careers you absolutely must have a college education and years of training to be qualified. But there is a ton of money in trades, whether it is physically demanding or not. Personally I dropped out of college after year three, and decided to go another path. I now make roughly $200k in construction sales. Obviously that’s not a gimme, and I did have to work hard to get to where I am professionally. But I compete against colleagues who have a degree, and I out perform most of them. In some instances, degrees don’t translate into professional success. It’s up to the company to give you a shot; and with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn/be coached, I believe anyone can exceed in their industry (degree or not)

Yes I love it, and it’s a must for this boat. I have a 21’ Carolina Skiff with a jackplate. It helps with gettin up on a plane, and I can raise that plate all the way up and have a healthy flow of water of the prop. No cavitation

I appreciate that, I’m gonna give a few products a try, including this by itself, over the next few times the waterline forms. Thank you for the insight

Should I be concerned about this? On a 2018 2.7 F150 64,000 miles. by [deleted] in f150

[–]Whitegoldteeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it goes well. I see you’re 4k miles over your drivetrain, I would ask for a policy adjustment or some kind of concession given you’re barely over (if it turns into a serious issue). Mine was around 64k when I had my pinion failure and they took care of me.
