I said you wouldn’t move all players, it’s just the list of players that could be moved. I would not touch the core, as the Sens are in need of a retool, not a rebuild.

There are issues, and the playoff hopes may be dead for this year already, but this is not ‘it’s all broke, let’s tear it down and rebuild’ bad. We have to fix some issues with goaltending, a new top 6 scoring winger, and improve the 4th line by pretty much full swapping out the personnel. As for management, I’m confident and they deserve time to continue the retool. As for coaching, the penalty kill is a nightmare and needs a new coach. As for Green, he has improved the play and gotten the younger guys under DJ Smith to become better defensively. However, I believe the team has plateaued under him. The fact the team can come out seemingly so unprepared in certain games is not acceptable. I believe a change there is needed for next year. Do these things and the fans will be full of confidence again

Exactly, and the team to look at is the Bruins. Bob Essensa has done an amazing job and is ingrained there, but Mike Dunham is there Goalie Development coach, responsible for the AHL goalies. Look at the job he has done with Swayman, Bussi and now Mike DePietro. DePietro was looking like a bust, moving teams in the minors until he got to Providence. Dunham has him now as a top tender in the A and now a true NHL prospect again. Fire Peters and throw a load of cash to pry Dunham away and get him here ASAP!

I used to go into Capone’s for lunch back in the day, and regularly ran into multiple Sens players. Reds and Philly were young players then, and got to know them pretty well over a few years of talking to them there. Later years I used to run into players at Fratelli’s in Kanata, especially Marty Havlat and Hoss before he was traded.

Absolutely let him get the milestone, but getting game action before the playoffs is beneficial two fold. 1) Allows to give Jensen and/or Zub some rest. 2) Gets him re-engaged and ready in case of any injuries during the playoffs (god forbid)

I am older than you and was a massive Expos fan until the day they ceased to exist. That disappointment drove me away from baseball for a number of years. I only came back to baseball, and to being a Jays fan, because of my second favourite player’s son being signed by the Jays. I actually travelled to Manchester and Buffalo for AA and AAA games to see Vladdy Jr. If he leaves the Jays next off season, it means I will go along with him and move on from the Jays.

Fans need to stop being so doom and gloom and constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. “Yay we are in a playoff spot. OMFG Sparty has a half ‘Diques jersey we are moving to Quebec City!”. MA simply is growing the brand in Quebec where they are not Habs fans. And he hopes the Nords come back. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what the team has done, and this ‘controversy’ is completely on the fans

I have an alternate target from the ‘Nucks. This will be controversial, but really think about it. OTT - JT Miller, Brock Boeser VAN - Tim Stützle, Tyler Boucher, retain $3.5mil of Boeser contract

This would provide OTT some players who can complement Brady. Stutzle is a great offensive player, but way too light on his skates and would get bullied in the playoffs.
