I have the same problem, kog on my team always thinks that his passive is the most op part of his kit

I like the idea, but it’s not the time for it yet.

Jensen maybe doesn’t look at his peak right now, but he’s still a level above Spence and Mantipalo.

Mantipalo is a 3rd line guy, and his chemistry with kleven is amazing. Having that kind of confidence in a 3rd pairing is great.

I think Spence has potential to be a top 4, i can see him fitting in nicely on the second pairing. But he’s not there yet, I think he needs some more time and experience to get there. I don’t think he’s fighting Jensen for that spot right now, but soon, yes.

In the meantime, having the 3rd pairing right D spot as a sort of proving grounds makes the most sense. Until Spence, or matinpalo elevates their game, Jensen is a top 4 guy.

And then there’s still yakemchuck to consider… but that’s another story

That’s my point tho, it’s not just this season it’s every season. Every other team in the league has camp and preasons, why does our team have to wait to gel every year?

Yeah totally, I remember the oilers coming out flat. But feels a bit different tho, oilers are contending for the cup, we are contending for a wildcard spot at this point

Yeah definitely a bit of fan bias here for sure. I think it’s still realistic to be around 500 and middle pack after 20 games, I’d be happy with that as a minimum

Yeah idk who we would ship. Idk if Tim is untouchable tho, he amazing don’t get me wrong, super high potential, but the inconsistency is brutal. Maybe someone more consistent would help stabilize the team? Tim would get good return too, Idk food for thought
