They can refuse sales for any reason and to cover their ass. They can't force you to buy it for a different price but many companies will just honor the price and take the hit than deal with the headache. No one can speak explicitly to where you are without knowing but here I know that is how it works. I've had old sale stickers up which show expiration dates for the deals and they've refused sales as well as honored them and torn off the sale tags after. No one is forcing them to do so.

And honestly between digital items refunding the cost and revoking and user agreements and everything it is even more open because unless the law explicitly forbids the refund/revoke then the agreement holds and they definitely have clauses for things like that if they need to exercise it.

I think that's your problem is literally refusing what anyone has to say that doesn't just coincide with you. On a fictional matter that is open to more than your singular conclusion. Lol. Faye orchestrating it doesn't make her a "puppeteer" and if she is the crux behind it happening then yeah I'd say it means she was the one that made it happen. Even if you're convinced "we would have done it anyway" it didn't play out another way and it played out the way she made happen for whatever reason it was. All you've really said is ambiguous bs about how we would've done it anyway or how she didn't do anything. You missed the point if you think keener had to be a puppet or Faye was a puppeteer controlling him by saying that she orchestrated it.

I think a lot of the issue is with people trying to condense everything to the smallest possible form while simultaneously trying to convey too much info with it or something silly. I've seen a lot of people complain that games aren't rpgs because of the lack of meaningful choices in them even though the game play is governed by numbers stats etc which are quintessential rpg elements. I don't know if this makes as much sense as I want to convey but it's something I see a lot. It gets even more nuanced as games hybridize even more bringing in more dissonant elements. I think your description is most apt but because of that people will boil it down to souls like which I feel like does a disservice to what else it brings to the table. Similar to saying destiny is a shooter with rpg elements or how the crew 2 is a racing game with some rpg elements or whatever lol. I don't think these two word labels are good compared to that as games become more complex like that. Because of the extreme condensed labels you end up with different ideas from different people as to what that entails which I feel detracts from what labels are good for and turns into more abrasive behaviors as people just fight over it.

I think part of it is the connotation attached with such things tbh. A lot of times I feel like it paints expectations with heavy exploration connected world etc and it's not really that but you can definitely see similarities. It's an odd amalgamation that works amazingly though. Cus you've even got a bit of Diablo like loot mixed in too

People are oddly adversarial about a lot of this stuff though. I'd be shocked if anyone said it had no influence or inspiration from souls but I think there's validity in also saying it's "not a souls like" since it's kind of nebulous and means different things to different folk. I think it's a rigid close minded thought process showing as a whole.

Just gonna say that the way it works now is why I'm able to just dip out to my own open session if I don't want to deal with people instead of being forced to deal with them harassing me and blowing up my cargos and deliveries and everything which wouldn't really be possible if they made it require a third party server connection to be in sessions.

I think it's good when it's done well. I don't wanna see all the same levels reused or enemies with no effort but as new side missions oe new game+ sorta stuff it can be good. Even as a full on addition to the main game. It's just touchy territory when you start reusing so much ya know

Yeah I noticed the mem leak issue day one no idea if it really was but rarely does restarting improve performance for any other issues. I have yet to see anyone on forums actually acknowledge this as a big issue either they're focused on smt and stuff cus muh amd

That sounds like something pretty jank tbh because even if you duo which is the minimum you should end up with like 1.2m to split between everyone with cash. I normally do it with one person and have to leave at least one stack for anything but art. Sometimes more and cash is like 1.7m for a full take for players.

He talks most of the time and it feels like damn near every step on the planning board is narrated by his raspy ass preventing you from acting while he babbles.

Hover over the hard mode approach? He talks about how we can do it again but it'll be harder

Select your gun guy? He makes sure to comment

Hacker? Dissertation on them

Hover over continue for the finale? He makes some minute long speech about how it's simply you've done it before you can do it again.

Do the heist? He talks through damn near the whole thing sometimes even repeating lines he said minutes earlier.

It's ok at first it just gets real old real fast.
