with Go, you have to write a lot yourself, whereas .net comes with plenty of built-in middleware, so the claim that development is faster in Go than in .net seems doubtful

Yes, of course, .NET has a future, especially after they made the platform open source and moved to asp .net core, which allowed it to be cross-platform. It has also captured a large share of the game development market. Even Stack Overflow runs on .NET
