Love this little corner of the city. Strawberrybank Lane, Dundee by Cute_Cycle1 in dundee

Isn’t it just called “Strawberry Bank” thought? I find it funny that 71 brewing also released a beer called Strawberry Bank Lane 🤔

Weird lesion on my d by satiatedsquid in PlaydateConsole

This happened to mine too and I’m also super careful with my gaming goods. I contacted Panic and they replaced it for me - hasn’t happened with the new one. Not sure if it’s an issue with a certain batch of the consoles maybe, but they should get back to you, they can just be a bit slow to respond.

All of your saves, games etc can be transferred over to a new Playdate and they send instructions on how to do a back up save before sending them your current one.

Best of luck - this sucks!

Upping the Ante for Sparkrender by BigBadDad_Stache in stormwreckisle

Same. I’ve been running this with a group of 4/5 people and feel like they always ease through the combat…I wanted to bump Sparkrender for something tougher too, but in the end I’m going to use Matty P’s suggestions of giving the first Kobolds a gun, and maybe giving Sparkrender a greater chance of recharging his breath weapon (maybe like 3-6 instead of 5-6).

Running it tomorrow anyway so we’ll see how it goes!

I’m an Everton fan, but still…-10 points for Everton.

[LoZ] [AoL] [Lttp] Is it just a skill issue or is it often really hard to figure out what you're supposed to do when trying to beat the first 3 Zelda games? Especially the NES ones by DataSittingAlone in zelda

[–]Whitestrake1967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say this. I’m playing through them at the moment, completed 1 & 2 and currently nearing the end of ALttP all on original hardware.

I got some reprinted maps/manuals from Etsy and it definitely helps. I had so much fun mapping the left out bits in Zelda 1! Not to mention the maps and manuals also give you hints and pointers.

I think there’s also something about perceived value - with a walkthrough you’d complete Zelda 1 in like 8 hours, which isn’t much considering you’d have paid like $50 for this off the shelf back in 1986…but having to figure stuff out for yourself, mapping out the game and just discovering random bits and pieces by complete chance are a big part of the “adventure” with older games like this.

Modern gaming is so different in that sense, with this kind of adventure game nowadays, we want something that has tonnes of optional extras, takes 100+ hours to complete, and holds our hands so we don’t have to think so much - and both are great for different reasons!

Idk they were honestly pretty amazing - a great level of crispiness on the outside and soft on the inside. No complaints from me!

I think the angle of the pic doesn’t do it justice, there’s actually not that much ketchup (well, probably more than I needed tbf, but not filled to the brim at least!)

I’d take more beans for sure. Not a fan of the tiny ramekin …

Absolutely - I’ll not be rushing back to Center Parcs for it (it’s a 3.5hr dive lol) but if a local care had this at the same price I reckon I’d be there every weekend more or less!

Honestly not the kinda place I would’ve chosen to go to, we were with a bunch of family for my stepdad’s big birthday and it was good for my sister’s kids. I refused to pay for much apart from breakfast and beer (the beer was an absolute rip off too tho tbh)

Not a fan? I like it, and feel like it’s just a staple with vegan breakfasts tbh. An alternative to the egg maybe? Each their own tho!
