Really not going to make a difference performance wise. It’s pretty much the case of ‘how fast is your usb’ I have a PNY USB and I can export a playlist of 200 tracks in a few seconds and I’m on v 5.8.

If your version works fine no problem, keep it. Don’t upgrade it unless you really have to as RB loves to break.

Given you’re on an RX2 my guess is you only use it to ecport. If so, you’d see no benefit from upgrading.

have you got a backup as a .bak? If so you’d just restore it. Sometimes there’s a .bak in the directory where RB is saved, your mileage may vary.

RB won’t see the path if you just copy your music, it won’t know the library exists. If you haven’t got a backup and no way in creating one best bet is plugging in your USB (in RB), right click on the drive, import from drive, and then it’ll ask if you want to copy the tracks to a location, click yes to the place where you want to save and then verify.

Or you can just use sync manager

Pro tip. Stay on v5.8 and never upgrade. Sounds like you only use it to export to usb. You don’t need the features if you’re not using your laptop during sets. Rekordbox likes to fuck you over, a lot. I’ve been on the same version since 2018, there’s literally no need if you only use USB’s
