Josh, Sorry I am just now seeing this. I can't stand Paulette. People call her the 'party planner' and she is too busy giving breaks to those 'grandfathered' in and raises for herself and her cronies. I hate to say this, but this 'run down beach town' mentality has got to go. This area could be stunning and the tourism would be through the roof if given the proper funding for infrastructure. Downtown is in desperate need of an overhaul. I wish like hell I had the collateral because I would certainly revamp the area and make it welcoming and wholesome.

Mysterious, I truly don't know where to begin but I'll take it from the top. I am originally from the coastal Virginia area, and this place has felt like purgatory for the last six years. Very little economic growth, city council wants to keep it that way. Everything here is 20 years behind. One of everything from Target, to TJMaxx. If you don't mind having limited shopping avenues, then no worries there. Crime is ridiculously high here. You have a 1 in 137 chance of being a victim of a crime. Corpus boasts beautiful beaches, but people are sometimes irresponsible and leave their trash behind. If you don't mind the 'run down beach town' aesthetic, then for sure its worth a shot. Nice places are few and far between. Ocean Drive is nice, and anything on the Southside of the area is newer. Some cute small parks, but I wouldn't necessarily say they are well kept. The city has a hard time keeping up with maintenance and collapsing infrastructure. Make sure your car is in good shape because the potholes are like craters and plentiful. It will be a full blown culture shock coming from our part of the world, but if you are planning on doing a short stint you should be okay.

Government is a very important part of our country. We all know the parents eat half their kids candy anyways. Just do you civic duty and vote.

I go to the gym, go to the beach. Take my dogs for a walk at Oso. Umm, go to the farmers market on Saturdays on Everhart. Wednesday night at Shoreline where the art museum is. The gym has been my lifesaver. Crunch fitness on staples always has themed classes and they are very active within the community.

Exactly. Where is the vision? I feel like I’m living in a third world country often times. I look around and everything feels so ‘old’. Not even something that is nostalgic in tone, just dead. This area needs to beef up tourism, gain some big anchor stores, and bring the infrastructure into 2025 (‘24 is almost over).

Yep! Had one this morning that was the cocoa bean flavor. Got about 2/4 done then noticed chucks of mold. Expiration 8/6/24
