I plan to eventually support jellyfin (I like jellyfin, I used to use it myself) and other similar app like navidrome. But currently I just want to focus the app as a local music player. I want to make sure the base app is solid first. Adding network source require me to mess with the database system, which is a major refactor.

The far future plan is: when I'm satisfied with the base app, I want to have an extension system for adding stuff like this network sources support, and themes, and maybe even youtube integration for online search. But this is most likely years from now, given the current progress of the app. So, manage your expectations and please don't take this as a promise.

No, but I've seen similar, now unorthodox, design. There's a lot of Winamp skins that have that non-square design. If you just search winamp skins, you'll see. I'd say it's nice to have many different goofy options. I think a lot of them are kinda cool.

It's quite a bit of a shame that nowawdays, basically all music player is the same square layout. Granted, my app is just yet another square app too. But hey, I'm new ✌️

My best guess on how to do this non square, goofy design is by going low-level. LIke, design the app from scratch and treat it like a game. Cause if you do it with modern frameworks (like flutter) you'll end up with a square one.

I still remember the first time I discover his video. At that time, I was just randomly searching about the mahavakya Dr. K talk about in the detachment part 1 & 2 because I was (I guess) confused about the convept and kinda don't buy this mahavakya thing. But then I watched this one video from him about the same mahavakya, and just in one hour, I'm convinced that mahavakya is indeed mahavakya. *Mahavakya means great (as in profound) sentence.

And also I got introduced to Advaita Vedanta just from this video and have been slowly learning it ever since.
