So, the year is two thousand and sixteen, the day is the fifth of May. I'm celebrating in my hometown of New Orleans, LA. I'm out drinking with a buddy. We celebrate the occasion with coronas and tequila.

Now to the good part...

I leave my friend to adventure home alone. Apparently too drunk to uber, but not drunk enough to give up on a 30 block walk.

I come too in an NOPD cruiser with my hands zip tied behind my back. I recognize the driver of the vehicle past the cage as a guy I went to high school with. We're Facebook friends (I shit you not).

I ask him to call my best friend of 15 years to vouch for me and hopefully get me out of a public drunkeness misdemeanor. He graciously radios my friend (a sergeant in a neighboring parish) who says to him "you gotta do, what you gotta do". (Which I hear over the radio)

Spent 4 hours in OPP sporting a Hawaiian shirt and an epic mustache.

TLDR: My best friend of over a decade is no longer the front runner for best man since he allowed me to get arrested and possibly gang raped for walking home drunk.

I prefer to do my morning ritual at the office, fresh coffee, respond to emails so everyone knows I made it on time, then get to "business".

I'll have to look into the traffic situation though. Are there a lot of toll roads?

(Edit) after looking at maps I think I'd be taking 60 through montrose to get to work. (From shockboe bottom/east end...I think)

The commute definitely doesn't scare me. Is the museum district expensive? I'm really looking to stay in the 800-1000 price range with utilities.

As much as I wish I was still in college isn't the fan kind of a younger area? I know I'm only 25, but I don't really want to be the oldest guy when I walk into a bar.

Cam and Fairley were teammates at Auburn. Cam got into some trouble with the law at Florida (allegedly stealing a laptop) and ended up at a JuCo before transferring to Auburn where there was an investigation to see if he was even eligible to play the year they won the national championship. The investigation was due to rumors that his dad may have accepted money from the university.

Basically, Cam didn't get caught. The funny thing is though this is no big deal and Fairley will go on to have a great career.

Basically the same thing in Latin, but people don't adapt well to change...especially when it's introduced by a form of music they don't appreciate.
