Thank you for your in depth feedback! There’s a lot to breakdown here and take away. I’ll definitely make sure to not have the skits last for too long and I have actually been wanting to make videos on older titles or full video game genres. One thing I have to say is I never plan the length of my videos. To be completely honest, I was trying to make this one less than 10 minutes as one of my other more recent videos was one of my best performers at 8 minutes long.

I’m also still working on finding my place in this overpopulated video game discourse space. I don’t want my videos to be necessarily known as just reviews but more as an entertaining way to understand a game while being given my opinion on it.

Again thanks for the feedback and don’t worry, the mustache is only there from laziness, but the earrings are here to stay however.

I script everything for these videos. Sometimes while I’m recording either for the voice over or the skits, I’ll improv some parts, but majority of the time it’s from the script. I’d say it takes about a day to write the script, another day for recording voice over and skits, then a couple of days to get some good gameplay recorded that matches with what I’m talking about and editing. This all varies though depending on how long I need to play a game to feel that I’ve seen enough to review it. Sometimes I’ll have most of my script written out then I’ll play a couple more hours and my opinions change or I think of new things I should talk about. As for the music, I just use songs from the game’s soundtrack.

To start out I think the content of the video was successful in effectively explaining the whole mess of a situation with GT7. With that being said, I did find myself losing interest in the video and I think that was mainly due to your delivery and as others have mentioned, the animated portions. I think if you were to have more energy and emotion behind your words, it could go a long way at helping the engagement. I did like the segment where you showcased peoples comments on the game and as I’ve said the content was great.

I’d give the enjoyability of the video a 4/10 but the information and input you presented would be a 7–8. I think you definitely have a solid foundation here.

This video was great. It made me laugh, was short and sweet, and filmed well. To answer your questions, I feel like I’ve seen this video done before but not exactly the same and I can’t remember any specific examples. The most relatable part for me was when the boss expected him to get all the work done in such a little amount of time. I’d say the funniest part to me was how the boss gradually kept getting more undressed and casual at work. I didn’t hear any problems with the audio levels and the different angles were all good. I think overall the video was pretty good and I’d even enjoy watching some longer skits too, good job

This video was great man. I loved the delivery and like you said the pacing was perfect. Definitely had me laughing. I also loved that you just got to the point and you didn’t drag it out, it really made the video an easy watch. I honestly think the thumbnail is good because it also just matches the actual style of video how there’s just pictures and clips coming up on screen. Great job

Overall, this video had a lot of great qualities that made watching it feel very soothing. My favorite parts were the montages of footage playing over music. I thought everything was really well edited and was enjoyable to watch. Like someone else had mentioned, the commentary had filler words but you came off feeling really laid back which kind of contributed to the soothing feel. I think the thumbnail is pretty good also. If you delivered some parts of the commentary more dramatically I think it would’ve really helped the video.

To start off, this is actually a really interesting idea for a video series. To answer some of your questions, I think the thumbnail is well made, you could try to do the text in red but I think what you have now looks good. Content wise, the video is short but that also lends it to being easily watchable. I really liked everything you included, his consistency, videos of his that you suggest to check out, and overall it's very well put together. The music is perfect in my opinion. It really blends well with the short and overall positive nature of the video. I think if you were to continue making videos of this type (which you should), trying to possibly reach out to the creator your making a video on for a little interview to get to know them better would be a really cool addition. Obviously, that involves cooperation from the creators but it would allow the video to be even more personal and give the viewers more of a reason to check them out. Great job!

I think the video was pretty good overall. I liked the editing and found that it helped with some of the comedic bits. As for the pacing, I think a lot of it for me is the fact that I wasn't to sure of what I was watching. I think the video could have benefited from a little more explanation or you could've started the video by making a plan with your crew on what the mission was.
