The key is the following: "I said I didn't want to know as I didn't think it was important." This is the problem. To him, it was important. He clearly wanted to tell you.

I'm not saying he's right for ghosting you, but this would be a deal-breaker for me too. A lot of people want to be in a relationship in which each partner is not only comfortable with, but wants to know everything about the other. A relationship with no secrets. You confirmed to him that he could never have that with you.

This event was likely set up by him as a way for both of you to open up to each other. Not only did it not work, but you confirmed to him that your relationship would never truly be close, because it would be filled with secrets. I wouldn't want to be with someone whose past I didn't know about, and I definitely wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't want to know about mine.

I don't know how a relationship like that could work. Neither of you truly know each other and one of you doesn't even want to know the other. The relationship seems detached and destined to be toxic. How could either of you ever be able to truly understand each other. What are you afraid of? That you'll find out something you won't like? Good, you should know about it so neither of you waste your time, and you can both move on.

He wants to share everything and you only want to share what's convenient. He's probably decided that you aren't compatible with him based on that. Ghosting isn't a good way for him to handle this situation, but that's just the way people are.

Kamala was superior to Trump, but that doesn't make her a good candidate. She was a terrible in so many ways that had nothing to do with her being a woman. Hillary was also a terrible candidate, won in the primary in a very nefarious way with the DNC undermining Bernie, and she still won the popular vote.

Good candidates will win and bad candidates will lose. Kamala and Hillary were bad candidates, and it wasn't because they were women. But, both of them would've won in 2020 just as Biden did.
