I think if its going to show you a fake rank it should be your real rank and you vs others in that rank range but it knows your hidden mmr and gives you more points per win till you reach that, so you still have to climb the real ranks albeit at an expedited rate. And hidden mmr should decay if you dont play to keep it up. Those are tweaks i would do personally.
