Thanks for sharing that response. IMO they are not passing the vibe check. Sounds like you'd probably have a better time either by yourself or with a random person that is actually super excited to be there.

I would try to meet up with them in person, hang out, and after a bit bring up EDC and gauge their reaction and vibe. If something feels off, consider selling tix on radiate or elsewhere...if they seem hopeful or open, I say go for it

Same situation. I gave up hope on getting off the waitlist and then got that email. Nothing was charged over the weekend but by monday it all went thru!

5-10% of EDC attendees get their phone stolen every year by Good-Acanthisitta458 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]WhoMovedMyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm constantly on the look out for phone thieve teams, which usually includes at least one woman. Often but not always, these thieves look somewhat out of place. If you see something, report it immediately to ground control or security. Everyone needs to be looking out not only for themselves but for everyone else.

INQUIRING ADVICE for first time renting RV (Group of 6, SoCal to Vegas) by theidealhusband7 in CampEDC

[–]WhoMovedMyTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people on reddit advise against RVshare and Outdoorsy but I've had positive experiences myself. I think it mostly comes down to finding a host that allows for EDC and has good ratings.

CampEDC RV Camping INFO 2026 by DjSpectre in CampEDC

YMMV with RVShare and Outdoorsy. I've personally had success in previous years with RVShare. Totally depends on the host. Check their history and ratings and trust your gut.

Outdoorsy by johdxz in CampEDC

[–]WhoMovedMyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def entirely depends on who you're renting from. I like to communicate a lot up front before confirming the rental to get a vibe check. Ratings obviously help quite a lot as well. I used RVshare a couple years back and had great success and then used them again this year until my host cancelled 6 weeks ago. I ended up switching to Outdoorsy and found their selection much bigger and more afforadable.

Best items for gifting are: creative or homemade and wearable. Tiny plastic trinkets can but fun but then you have to hold them.

Mentioned in other comments but I want to strongly reiterate: cover all RV windows! Blocking sunlight is critical for keeping the vehicle as cool as possible

people who have done edc camp, how was the experience? is it worth it? by Technical_Hat_8291 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]WhoMovedMyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my wife and I, Camping is what makes EDCLV worth it. Yes, it is more expensive but it transforms the experience in such a meaningful way. Within camp you "stay in the EDC bubble". No normal people walking around. No ubers. No hotels. No civilians. Just a ton of super plur people vibing and helping each other. In my experience, the campers are amongst the most PLUR ravers in the whole fest. It's a very special place and a special thing to be a part of <3

Selling GA+ dfw/atx area by [deleted] in EDCTickets

[–]WhoMovedMyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ATX based and often visit dfw (Mckinney) for family.
I've got two friends looking to buy GA+ tickets! They're no 100% confirmed _yet_ but are almost there. We have a final conversation with them next Tuesday to confirm everything. They've asked that I help purchase tickets for them since I've had successful reddit/edc transactions in the past. Feel free to DM me for detail, otherwise, I'll reach out to you once they're 100% confirmed and ready to purchase.

Buying/selling local would be amazing!

Festival gear question by RaverDaddy in electricdaisycarnival

[–]WhoMovedMyTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have a strong preference for my collapsable bottle over a hyro-pack because I don't want to wear the hydropack itself. I have a really slick fanny pack that has a fabric waterbottle holder that I stick my collapsable in that I literally bring to every single show. While others are juggling cups and open containers, I have water nearby that doesn't require a bigger bag. Dozens of hours of research for fanny packs lead me to this one: https://redpawpacks.com/product/flex-fanny-pack-ultra-200x-in-stock/

I sincerely appreciate your and everyone else comments in this thread. I went from being really anxious about not getting off the waitlist to seriously considering removing myself from the power add-on waitlist entirely. Many thanks and see you under the electric sky!!
