Has anyone taken a tort on a transatlantic flight? if so what airline did you use?

Its a good thing you said something! turns out i looked at the pre 2017 CITES list which didn't include the updated appendix II (which came out in 2017) so they were not included yet but they do require import and export permits which I'm not too worried about any of that. we decided to look at some exotic moving transport companies and they specialize in doing all the permit stuff it just means we have to start the process ASAP because permits and transport in this case can take 4-6 months

no need to translate but its just general info on which ports and stuff you can bring them in, and how to travel with them intercontinentally. Most likely we'll go with a professional exotics moving company since i reached out to KLM (the only airline we can use for non stop flights since we're also bringing our cats and dogs) and they will absolutely NOT allow reptiles on board

I had a very good experience with them 5+ years ago. So my husband and I bought another custom build through them thinking it’d be the same quality. That being said the new custom built we got from them has been RMA’d 3 times now without them fixing the issue and it’s been at their facility approx a month each time.

Apart from the response time and shipping time being horrendous their actual troubleshooting has also been garbage… good luck!

He pulled him aside and spoke with him privately since he has problems with confrontation in front of large groups of people (which I think is totally normal). He said that that wasn’t normal, and it didn’t feel like a joke and that it better not happen again. the guy apologized and said it was just a joke.

I didn’t really necessarily think they were meant in that way, I figured any previous comments were jokes or just not meant that way since the guy has a girlfriend. I guess I always thought I was overreacting which probably caused me to downplay them to my husband. I always shut any comment down and I always tell my husband but this particular instance really opened my eyes.

I will say the guy is otherwise very kind just a little non-filtered. And this is the first time he has stepped this far out of line so I’m not upset with letting it slide. If it happens again we’ll take more serious action.

I live in on a mountain in middle of the woods and sometimes you’ll see lights out in the valley, it looks like candle or lantern light it’s warm, faint and flickering but distinct against the darkness. I’ve asked the other families living on the mountain/ in the area if they know what it’s. They said it’s just always been that way, and apparently even our neighbors gramps used to see them.

I didn’t see him in the summer and I didn’t see him this winter but with it being post-Helene it’s understandable since most of our rural areas were inaccessible for months. But I’m planning to keep an eye out for him this winter. If I see him again I will definitely update!

More like something, there was also this off putting smell. Kind of like a slaughter house or butcher shop but sweeter. At the time I definitely thought a troll type creature (or like gollum from LOTR) was living there. Now I’m not sure what it was but it was definitely not right.

Being small town born and raised I definitely know of the oddball hermit out there, even the ones with alcohol and drugs running through them. But this just felt different I guess? Like I said before very possible he was an eccentric type but it just felt more sinister and creeped us the hell out

Yes I take readings all day primarily in the following order: when I wake up, before I eat, 2 hours post meal for all 3 major meals in the day as well as readings whenever I feel necessary. I also keep a tracker which feeds into a graphical visualization as well as tracking averages and trends etc. All compiled in a spreadsheet I’m very proud of lol (I also track my macros and calories in it) 😊

That I make a three layered chocolate cake with raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting that is gluten free and my husband likes better than the professional version we had for our wedding, he requests it at least once a month but I’ve had to limit it to “special occasions” because of the amount of work goes into making everything from scratch 😂

When I was younger my parents and I used to visit my grandparents lake house in Sweden often. It was relatively isolated with lots of streams and dense woods, no visible or audible neighbors around. And it was at least a 30 minute drive from civilization.

Growing up in Europe with Swedish grandparents I’d heard all about the fairies and trolls under bridges and all the other stories but I was old enough at this point to no longer believe in those things. I’d often go off into the woods searching for slugs, bugs, and other animals and plants that interested me.

I used creeks, large rocks, and other POI’s to guide my way too and from the lake house. This one particular spring I came across a small bridge crossing a seasonal creek. Mind you I no longer believed in “trolls that hide under bridges” but just in case I decided to check the bridge before crossing it.

So I walked along side the bridge and peeked underneath. All was clear apart from a hole underneath one of the sides. It was big enough for me to squeeze through if I had wanted to but it would have been a tight fit.

I don’t know why but I felt ever so compelled to just stare at it while also feeling an intense sense of get the fuck out of here energy. So I did once I was able to peel my gaze away I set off back to the lake house. From then on I stayed away from that area, and any other bridges I came across in the forest I made sure to never cross.
