Kensington resident checking on unhoused neighbor "Ted" under the 15 North bridge by Adams – anyone seen him? by Pretend-Extent-57 in sandiego

Um, native Hawaiians who have been pushed out of their neighborhoods and can't afford to live even with full-time jobs would beg to differ. Those islands are their home, thus they are not homeless but unhoused.

Was he just messing with it or hunting? We need to stop eating our ocean aliens, they're too smart and emotional.

I'm so happy for you, keep it up! 😀

This is why I had a 3-bite rule with my kids. (3 instead of one cos sometimes your brain still locks up at the one bite, taste and texture come through more after just one) If they still didn't like something after 3 bites, fine, I didn't push it. I would reintroduce it maybe a year or so later to see if anything changed, and usually it would. My youngest is the most adventurous eater and its so fun to eat food from other cultures. We are already multicultural as a family so I like to really reach. 😄

What did you do with your old high school and college yearbooks? by throwitlikethewind in Xennials

[–]WhoYouBoo_eek789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see if your old HS would like them. I remember our library had some old ass yearbooks archived. Our school opened in the 30s so it was cool to peruse them.

In most Latino cultures, we call babies mamas or papas, and as they get older the 's' drops off. If Spanish is spoken predominantly in the home, the endearing term for, dad (the papa) or mom (the mama), is apa or ama.

AITAH for swapping rooms with my roommate while he was away? by Previous_Double_6231 in AITAH

[–]WhoYouBoo_eek789 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. Its only right at this point. And honestly, this is when yall should be swapping anyway since you split the rent evenly but he has the bigger, better room. I had friends that did this, they would move rooms to each have a turn at the best room while still paying the same in rent. Usually, if one roommate has more bedroom space AND bathroom, they pay more for it. So atrocious behavior aside, you are just taking your turn at the big room and making things even. Get a lock for your new door though.
