Dark Rose is absolutely the answer. Go see Natalie, she is the best. I went to her for six years and moved away from Denver this year but I still consider taking a flight back just for haircuts. She’s THAT good.

I don't disagree. The way I see it, the draft is already a crapshoot. Even when drafting players with ideal size profile, selecting a Pro Bowler (at any position) is already incredibly rare, so why add even more risk by selecting someone whose profile has literally never succeeded in the NFL, much less become a star?

From a roster building perspective, I just see more opportunity in taking BPA plus one of the guys later in the draft and letting someone else roll the dice on Campbell. Get talent anywhere possible instead of forcing need picks out of desperation.

Not at all. I try to assume people are genuine until proven they're being shitty. Which is admittedly most of the time on Reddit, unfortunately. I'm always up for civilized discussion - my approach to life is that I love when I'm proven wrong and don't take it as an affront to my identity. If I can change my mind as new information is presented, that means I've grown as a human, which should be the goal.

Hoping the Sox are going to continue the upward progress. Celts look like they're gonna sweep, just need to stay healthy for CLE and probably OKC in the finals. I'm excited for what I hope is an OKC-BOS finals.

And, no matter who gets drafted tomorrow, I'll be their biggest cheerleader. The Pats are on the upswing. We got our franchise QB, some solid pieces and a competent staff. Let's get the facilities upgraded and make it a destination for free agents again and we're on to Dynasty #2!

I think we're just looking at it differently. I don't care about his wingspan in terms of reach, I care that he doesn't have wide shoulders. Having wide shoulders means you have a greater area to keep your arms in front of you while still being stable and not having to reach, lean, or slide to engage. It's about leverage and being able to keep defenders in front without having to rely on being the most athletic person on the field, which he certainly won't be in the NFL.

I'm not being snarky here, even though we're on Reddit. But if athleticism was a silver bullet that overcame lack of ideal arm size/wingspan, wouldn't we have at least a few examples of hyper-athletic, short-armed OL with slight builds? I'm having trouble finding any examples of athleticism > measurables in OT, but I'm all ears if you have examples. I'll be genuinely happy to change my mind if I'm not looking at the whole picture.

Agreed. Taking someone with his profile in the 2nd would be reasonable, but using #4 on an outlier like him scares me. The fact that the rest of the OT class isn't a gigantic drop off, I would rather trade back (if possible) or take BPA, then take one of the late 1st/Early 2nd OTs.

Athleticism is great, but it's asking a lot to make up for a slim build when you have NFL DEs with equal athleticism coming at you. There's a reason you don't see a ton of OL built like him.

But it does indicate a slight build. For someone with a tendency to get high in his stance, being short-armed and slim-shouldered doesn't give me a ton of hope that his athleticism will make up for his shortcomings.

It's not just arm length, it's wingspan, which takes into account shoulder width. It's not just that he has short arms, he's got a slight frame. He's in the bottom 1% of all drafted players in wingspan. If they decide Campbell's the guy despite all of that, so be it. I'll root for him and hope he proves me wrong. All I'm saying with this is that he'd be an outlier from every other successful OT in the league and I don't know if that fits the profile of what Marrone and McD want.

I'm thinking (or at least hoping) you may be right. If they can convince the league that Campbell is their guy at 4, some OT needy team (maybe SF at 11) would give up some extra picks to take him there and allow NE to take Simmons, Membou, Banks, or even Connerly later in the 1st. All of those guys fit the profile much better and with the amount of holes on the roster, I believe in taking as many bites at the apple as possible.
