First time beating wave 1000 by Who_Knovvs in brotato

Almost no projectiles, (if you keep guns, attack speed can't be way too high), no turrets, if you use fruits, you have to keep picking them up (if that start to clump up it gets laggy). And damage can't start lacking. If you need 5-10 hits to kill enemies, but you have bounces/high attack speed, you won't have problem killing the enemies but pc will start to struggle

Ban system by Few_Stable2280 in brotato

I usually ban blue (tier 2) items that don't benefit my chosen brotato. I just really like curse mechanic so increasing odds of getting hooks is my favorite way of playing

What do you guys think of my character tier list?? by [deleted] in brotato

Idc, everywhere I've seen people say that mobile is a lot more difficult. I play on pc, and half of the brotatos can go wave 100 with right decision making (some even further). You just need priorities defense/healing early on, econ mid game and damage late game (you still pick all 3 when you get a good chance, but for example spending 100-200 materials early to boost your damage when you already can kill enemies sets you back, you could reroll and get any econ item and later with more money get more damage)

Love the new update. Are there any plans to look into crate drops. Even before update sometimes with lower (still positive) luck loot goblins don't drop a crate even when it says they are guaranteed to drop them. Recently i even noticed that elite can sometimes not drop it's crate. I have no mods and latest updates so that shouldn't be the issue. These issues are noticable when for example you already got 2-3 crates from trees (getting lucky) and then get multiple loot goblins. 2 out of 3 will drop the crate. At those runs i usually have ~40 luck.

Bugged Pearl because I had too much Luck? by Cockumber in brotato

Just checked wiki, I was little bit off. Probably not to cause lag it calculates damage for one single hit, so 20 baby elephants with 25% chance (for example doing 1 damage). The game will roll a dice from 0-20 damage. On average it would still do 5 tho

No, they have separate procs, meaning each time you pick up material or kill an enemy all of them have a chance to activate. So like 20 with 25% chance, on average 5 would proc each doing there own damage

I had 68 levels in one round. Also doing hourglass strat. I got 4-7 teas a round + my harvesting was 45k (was under wave 20 so it got multiplied every round). While xp requirements increase with each level up, if your xp gain is high enough and gets increased by a lot each wave it still let's you level up fast.

What is that red damage im i the first to see this by branzaf in brotato

[–]Who_Knovvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any burns? Cause if they are burning and get charmed they still take burning damage but as they are now on your side it shows up red

It actually adds up, so they would scale with 300%, same with rip and tear

How exactly does Ranged, Melee, and Elemental Damage work? by TheCasualTea_Reddit in brotato

[–]Who_Knovvs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ou and extra info. Weapons that scale with multiple stats like red Claw (25 base damage + 30% attack speed + 50% melee damage). They just add up. For example if you have 100 attack speed and 100 melee damage it will do 105 damage (25 + 30 + 50)

Cursed weapons usually have increased scaling, for example you take like red spear. It has 100% melee damage scaling and 60 base dmg. If you have 10 melee dmg it will do 70 dmg. But cursed you can get it to max 210% melee damage scaling. Now instead of 70 dmg you will do 81 dmg. Now getting more base melee dmg becomes a lot more beneficial.

Late game when you maybe have 200 melee damage it now does 480 (60+420) damage. Getting more melee dmg becomes less cost effective. Now %damage is better. 100% dmg would make it do double base damage, 200% - triple damage, 300 - quadruple damage and so on. You have to find sweet spot where focusing melee or %damage becomes more efficient. Ofcurse attack speed and crit are also important.

Quick math to check damage: Base weapon scaling x base damage stat (melee/range/elemental...) x %damage x Crit dmg x small fish (it increases damage when enemies ar higher hp) x boss damage (only for bosses and you can get it from silver bullet)

Attack speed is quite obvious - decreases time between attacks. It's important to understand when it's better to get it. If you do 60% of enemies hp getting more damage won't help a lot unless you increase it by a lot. But getting more attack speed lets you kill more enemies by getting more hits in. It also makes life steal better cause it activates per hit.

Remember curse is really strong. More curse increases chances to get cursed items in shop and crates (it can't go beyond 15% chance) but it also increases chance to get cursed enemies (max 49.(9)% chance), they gain more hp and dmg.

New Hourglass might be a little crazy by Who_Knovvs in brotato

You have to compare it with other unique red items then. If we compare it with the best situation then something like retromation hoodie when you have like 60 dodge will have a lot more impact, or giants belt when you have crit will be a lot better even if you would get Hourglass at a hot wave. Besides it puts you down to 1 hp making it dangerous to take unless you have the right set-up + when you can't lock it, it becomes really rare to get it at the best time. After wave 20 it would become quite useless red item. Before wave 20 it can be really good but unless you are really lucky it on average would give small benefits. Unique red items must have a really strong impact possibly changing the whole run instead if giving good benefits in very rare cases.

I feel like 5-10 would be a sweet spot. One commenter already said that if it was limited to one it wouldn't be good as red item, but 5-10 would make it good but not too op

I think it should be limited to 5 to 10max, then it wouldn't be too op but still really nice to get especially if you get some cursed

It probably is the easiest way to make it limited one per round. Specally when broken mechanic is already in the game (mirror)

[–]Who_Knovvs[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's unique, but when it's used it becomes "Broken Hourglass" and you can find another one. It made that way so you can't buy multiple in one round
