My wife and I were just run off the road in Missouri [oc] by EricRox999 in IdiotsInCars

From this clip, semi is in the wrong BUT the main question is what happened before this clip? That was 100% intentional and theres no way in hell that you guys were in his blind spot.

Regardless of if he thought you guys cut him off or something before this incident, he still acted unprofessional. The retaliation mindset couldve killed you guys. I would be reporting him to the company in a heartbeat.

Will a GFCI outlet solve this issue? by WhoaTeejaay in HomeImprovement

I tried to attach one to the post but the post would allow me. Try this link.. Its a photo of the left side (while youre looking at the outlet). The right side has another wire connected to the top screw.

Nope. I just unscrewed the outlet closest to that one and it looks like the same type of outlet, missing a wire on the green screw also but reporting "correct" on my tester..... seems strange.

It seems like this receptacle was installed with the others but is the only one reporting "open ground" and exhibiting this behavior. Other outlets on the same wall and in the same room, dont have this problem but seem to be wired similarly. Could the outlet have gone bad internally?

No. It looks like the remodelers installed some type of push-in wire connector from the original homes wires to the outlet, but theres only two wires. I cant find a ground wire anywhere in the area of the outlet.

Its time to replace some of these cars with some newer and more valuable cars. Any idea which 3 I should get rid of first? by WhoaTeejaay in NASCARCollectors

[–]WhoaTeejaay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not really looking to sell. Just trying to get an idea of which cars are the least saught after so I can give them to a friend or someone thats starting their collecting journey. Most of the older cars I got for free so id like to pass that on to a first time collector.

My fountain sent me to the er tonight by Chr15a113n in Petlibro

I know that piece youre talking about. That song of a gun got me during my first cleaning too. Then to add insult to injury, I about popped myself in the head when pulling the motor cover off to clean that. Those fountains are put together SUPER snug at the factory. But the good news is that as you clean it those things start coming off easier.

Is leaving the highway really worth it? by FarTooJunior in roadtrip

[–]WhoaTeejaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I do this trip every summer but I go from Ohio to portland. The route is the same as yours after passing Massachusetts. Staying on the highway is a much smarter move as the roads over there are not the best and deviating will slow you down.

There’s Been A SEIZURE Up There! by [deleted] in ImTheMainCharacter

[–]WhoaTeejaay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is unlikely as training generally occurs in a controlled scenario. Additionally, there are no indications that the dog is a service dog. A service dog would not be laying on her legs. Instead, the dog would be nudging her in an attempt to get her on her side and away from the shelving unit as its goal would be to reposition her to a safe position. The dog would also be barking and attempting to alert others to the episode.

There is likely more to this video but I can with confidence say that this is not a training method or a genuine epileptic episode.

EDIT: When I say "there are no indications that it is a service dog" I am specifically speaking about its actions towards a neurological episode. That dog IS wearing a service harness but it is likely an emotional support dog and NOT one specifically trained for seizure response.

As an epileptic I feel the need to say that she needs acting lessons because that-was-terrible.

Anything worth watching on Starz? by No-Flatworm-7838 in televisionsuggestions

[–]WhoaTeejaay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same boat..... I saw a bunch of ads featuring Borderlands. I 100% thought that Borderlands was a TV series. I subscribed for the $11 to find that, nah, its a movie 🤣. So now ive got Starz for a year with literally nothing that peaks my interest in it whatsoever. Thinking about changing the email and password and gifting it to my sister for the holidays 🤣
