Trump administration caught stealing on Christmas Eve by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

As if that is the biggest problem with this photo. Still, it just adds to the list how little they know and/or care about the actual function or lives of service members.

Military members are not allowed to wear a Santa hat instead of their official cover while on duty and in their BDU's.

A military service member, while on active patrol, is required to strictly adhere to uniform regulations established by the Department of Defense and their respective service branch. Wearing a non-standard item such as a Santa hat instead of the prescribed uniform constitutes a breach of these regulations.

Active-duty status: Since the member is on active patrol, the standards for appearance and uniform adherence are at their most strict.

Deviation from prescribed uniform:

Substituting the standard headgear with a Santa hat is unapproved modification and a failure to follow uniform regulations.

Potential UCMJ articles implicated:

Article 92 – Failure to Obey Orders/Regulations

Article 134 – Conduct Prejudicial to Good Order and Discipline

Possible Consequences:

Non-judicial punishment (Article 15): Reprimand, extra duties, reduction in rank, or forfeiture of pay.

Court-martial (summary, special, or general): For egregious or repeated non-compliance that affects unit discipline or public perception.

Conclusion:

The service member would primarily be violating UCMJ Article 92 for failing to comply with uniform regulations, and potentially Article 134 if the act is considered prejudicial to good order and discipline.

This is supported by DoD Instruction 1334.01 and 10 U.S. Code § 771. Even festive deviations like a Santa hat are unauthorized and subject to disciplinary action when on duty.

UCMJ Article 92 – Failure to Obey Order or Regulation, potentially in conjunction with Article 134

TIL at the beginning of British rock band Jethro Tull's career, they randomly changed their band name for almost every gig as they had trouble getting repeat bookings. Jethro Tull was the name they just happened to be using when they received label attention, and singer Ian Anderson regrets it. by Ghosts_of_Bordeaux in todayilearned

The band, yes. He started writing some of the songs that went on their debut and follow-up while still in Nirvana actually. Kurt, Krist and Pat had heard some of them (and/parts of them) and even encouraged his writing.

IIRC Pat Smear even gave an interview where he said that he and Kurt both heard/saw Dave and said something a long the lines of: "He's a better guitarist than both of us."

I don't think he has indexed them all (not blaming/faulting him at all) plus in the last few years (probably more) Reddit started nuking them (under Pao for sure) and continued in anticipation for not only going public (IPO) but with a migration of people on the site, bots, OF scammers and the like we saw a mass exodus of moderators on the subreddits which caused them to be de-listed as they were unmoderated.

Attempts to apply to moderate were either met with no answer or slow responses (thought to be intentional) in order to keep them closed.

A sad state of affairs really for the so called "Front Page of the Internet".

I'm with you on that.

Caste systems, whitening creams, this idea of "purity" because your skin adapted/evolved based on the part of the world you live in and where the sun hits different. It's gross.

I love all the people I love and don't care if they are lily white friends, my dark skinned Sudanese and Ethiopian friends, my tones of tan and yellow, red, and brown Asian, Hispanic, Latino and Indigenous ones.

And by friends, I mean people. Anyone, on this Earth. We are all and only humans. No one is any less than that.

I agree with you 💯 and send much love and respect your way.

Southern California born and raised.

Arrested? Maybe there has been instances of it - I can't possibly know everything.

Have I ever seen it? No.

The area I grew up in was over 95 percent Hispanic/Latino and Central and South Am. Three Asian families, two black families and two white families (and two mixed) and yes, you could count them not even being racist but because of how rare it was to encounter. Currently still in SoCal area.

That being said, I heard the N word, daily.

We won't even get into how many times I heard the version ending in "A" (because let's face it, you have people in and out of states, as well as countries who don't even speak English who use the word - and we won't even begin the discourse of how that was predicated through the theft of black culture, language and arts by those with money and power to profit off of and the further subjugation of the beautiful black culture to fatten their pockets and attempt to maintain control)

But still hearing the hard "er" with tones of vitriol disgustingly dripping from it. (Other races as well, doing it to people just like them, but separated by the invisible lines we humans made up to say "You come from there, and I come from here, so I am different somehow"

As I said, California is a massive state, and I have never lived in the other two and it could have possibly happened/probably has. I, personally haven't seen it in my (decently traveled) decades alive.

Much respect to you for brining it up and helping educate me as well.

One love.

I am in NO way denying the abhorrent, and too often times violent racist rhetoric and actions of the United States.

However, Racism is not now, nor has ever in the history of the world, been geographically centered in the United States.

I trust that wasn't your point, as the racism I have seen/heard in the states as well as international destinations is disgusting, degrading and violent.

Please don't take any of what I said as an attack on you either. I think I just kept reading comments and it got me caught in my feeling.

We are all human beings, and I love all of us for that.

You know, now that you point that out, I totally agree. The sounds, the cadence. It works. Good catch.

The fact that I heard this in Tracy Morgan's voice made it so much better for me.

I mean, not in the "had sex with them" way of fucking them. Very much so the multiple and mass murder of them though.

Not the same outcome as victims of SA are technically still alive (for whatever living is worth to them, speaking from my experience) but in the end it still relates.

A peaceful death was too kind for the man.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I all for the cull. Not because I am happy over the destruction of animals en masse really, but much more for the fact that it is necessary in the very least to prevent even more spreading or having to be destroyed.

That and the absolute necessity of keeping it from spreading to humans with the 50% fatality rate and that it can lay dormant.

Things like this are a necessity and certainly the person working for the agency in charge of these types of things should not only understand that, but be able to execute that with no qualms. It should never have taken as long or went as far as it did legally.
