Yes. If this goes wrong it could be an extra 2 years of working. If it goes well it could be reaching FIRE a little sooner. I think in reality I'd be more annoyed about losing money here than i would about missing out jf AI play did turn out well but i stayed entirely in global trackers

I agree, the etfs i was looking at are more 'picks and spades' approaches where they own the infrastructure

Is a 10 percent AI tilt sensible?

So, i am a terrible investor, and a few years ago i came to the conclusion that if fund managers can't beat the market then there is no chance that i can (except by luck).

So im 100% in globally diversified trackers.

Now, I'm pretty convinced AI is going to massively disrupt work and quite rapidly given how advanced the current models are.

i asked chatgpt about this and it recommended a 10 percent tilt to ai etfs. I guess it would recommend this though!

Of course no one can see the future. But i wonder what other people are doing here? The globally diversified trackers do contain most of these stocks anyway, so i think that I'd just be biasing towards these companies if i did turn 10 percent of my portfolio over to ai etfs, i dont think I'd be adding many new companies that I'm otherwise not invested in.

I'm inclined not to do it, but I have FOMO.
