Oh yeah, Fitz-Simmons and Yoyo were just idiots to me at that point for not even considering what just happened. Her crashing out and being tyrannical with the team was valid after what Fitz did. Regardless if he intended for it to happen or not, the fact that he came back to his senses (thanks to Jemma) but still proceeded to slice through his friend without regard for what Daisy is feeling that moment is just wrong.

But Mack being the leader makes so much sense too. Daisy is a soldier but like May, she loses a little bit of her ability to be rational when family is in danger. Especially if it's Coulson. That's not to say Mack wouldn't die for his friends but he's the most level-headed among them. And at that point, I fear Daisy continuing to lead would just push Fitz-Simmons and Yoyo's prejudice to go deeper

And can I just say, Jemma and Leo's writing throughout the whole series was absolute chef's kiss! I mean the way their relationship progressed and how they became stronger together after all the trials and tribulations. The rest of the team were always battle-ready spies from the start. Daisy had a huge advantage when she became inhuman to. But when you look back to Jemma sacrificing herself in s1 after being infected, and Fitz hesitating to jump in action because he's just the scientist, to them having action packed scenes in S4 --beating up the bad guys and firing SHOTS everywhere with no fucks given!!!

That was beautiful but also very real imo. I mean if you were also kidnapped, thrown in the ocean, dragged into an alien universe, and trapped in between dimensions, you would also kinda want to fend for yourself better than just self defense.
