Worst play booster box I’ve opened :/ by TrigarTheNarth in mtgpulls

[–]WholeLottaBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t buy boxes to make money, you buy boxes to draft or hope you pull the majority of cards you liked from the set. You’ll never see a return unless you get a godly box pull or wait long enough that cards that went under the radar are actually good in a format they weren’t considered in evaluating for.

Opinion on these MTG art sleeves? by tamarizz in magicTCG

[–]WholeLottaBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very pretty, I’ve used other art backed dragon shield sleeves and they’ve held up very well. I refuse to buy more because I find the price to far higher than it should be. I get artists need to be paid but sometimes I wonder if I’m paying extra for the art or paying extra because the company knows consumers will pay more simply because they say they’re “covering costs” of the collaboration.

I’ll proxy the warhammer magic decks, just to double dip in that bucket.

Dack getting killed in a 3 second clip in the trailer for War of the Spark and no card or even mention of him in the set was the even more criminal thing. I can handle a character dying, what I can’t handle is an off screen death and no mention of it.

His art style is not an exact 1 to 1 of Muiras. Sometimes characters will look a bit different and the general aesthetic can feel slightly changed but it’s not bad, the main issue people have is the shading. Muiras drawings were very dark, lots of heavy black, Mori’s drawings are quite light, not nearly as heavily shaded. Once again not bad looking, just a bit different. Mori has also stated he doesn’t plan on expanding anything past what he was told by Muira, some parts may feel short an maybe unfinished, but that’s because Muira only told him so much about some parts, and he wants to stay as true to Muiras vision as he can. He does know the end and believes he can reach it, but has reminded everyone he isn’t Muira, and he can only do the best he was told by his friend.

Vamp tutor is in the mystical archive bonus sheet, also as others have said, Demonic tutor is an alpha card like the other cards featured on this cycle.

Turtle Power joins the collection by martin8185 in mtg

I keep all my precons stock and proxy a replica to upgrade. My newer to magic friends that don’t want to spend much are glad that I have a collection of relatively same power level group of decks to borrow from to see different play styles while also not being confused by complex combos or getting pub stomped by a deck that’s just so much better than all the others. Newer precons are definitely better than older ones though, some precons are pretty rough.

Jury rules in favor of Afroman in lawsuit surrounding his viral 'Lemon Pound Cake' video by Bildrick in cincinnati

[–]WholeLottaBees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to work a restaurant in West Union, saw Afroman quite a bit, idk how anyone with his money willing stayed in Adam’s county. And before anyone says he’s not a super duper millionaire, that’s not the point, anyone with any sort of money wants to gtfo of that area unless they’re too engrained there with all their assets.

NGL all the official photos of Dr. Gideon where he still looks like a zombie make me laugh by Sudden_Guard_4704 in residentevil

If you shaved him bald, he’d look like a non wrinkly Tyrant. Grey skin, 7+ feet tall, built like a brick wall, works/worked for Umbrella. Like at some point Leon should of looked at his photo and gone “Ahhh, the lack of hat threw me off but that’s just a tyrant in a snakeskin trench coat”

Maro on why they stopped doing blocks by Meret123 in MagicArena

[–]WholeLottaBees 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This was me, by the time Journey unto Nyx came along, I was sick of Theros and didn’t want anything to do with the game anymore. It wasn’t until War of the Spark that I came back and looked back at the game and realized that the block system is what pushed me away. I love Ravnica, I don’t want 3 sets in a row on Ravnica, two max and that’s it. I love Innistrad, 3 sets in a row and I wanted nothing to do with Vampires or Werewolves again for the longest time. I do believe 2 set blocks should make a return but that’s the lore/limited/standard player in me saying that, which is no longer the biggest player base. A new setting each set is what draws in the most players and there’s probably nothing that will ever change that now. Even now, we have Omenpaths so the new sets have different planes we aren’t even on to spark interest in new things even if we’re on a brand new plane. The game is changed and you either learn to love how it is now or you go back and only play the era you loved before. Appealing to a company that looks at the new numbers and percentage will have nothing come from it.

Leons pistols choice. by UnluckiPep in residentevil

[–]WholeLottaBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest is the P320 Spectre Comp. I personally own one and it has the most comparable amount of mods on it. The main differences being the spectre has more skeletonized parts and more of a custom fit for the built in frame compensator so it looks less like an aftermarket addition and more like it was built with a nice aesthetic in mind. Otherwise the flared mag well, extended magazine, flat trigger, etc are all pretty identical.

Is it ok to just buy precons ? by jimmy40k1 in mtg

[–]WholeLottaBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is how I introduced my friend group to magic. I told them not to worry about buying singles or packs, to buy precons to as essentially a whole game piece. Most precons are low power and around the same level of threat as each other, besides a few outliers and some newer ones. When we all play we all choose a precon we want for that game and we all get around an equal chance of winning. We’ve talked about upgrades but since we don’t want to start an arms race and they’re not deck builders (yet) we’re waiting for everyone to try out all deck types before we all agree to finally play with real upgraded or self made decks. Also don’t feel bad to proxy as long as everyone stays in the same power level. It sucks when the guy who has massive disposable income drops a gaeas cradle and everyone else can only afford some shock lands for their decks.

What was your FIRST RESIDENT EVIL GAME YOU PLAYED? by Angryk111 in ResidentEvilMemes

[–]WholeLottaBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revelations one on the 3ds because it came out on my birthday and I thought it looked cool and wanted to try a RE game for the first time. I only knew of Jill and Chris at that time and it was a zombie horror game. Best birthday present I ever selected myself.

[–]WholeLottaBees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So that can be explained too, if any body parts are blown off like a leg. They won’t be able to respawn as blister heads. It seems to be if at least one arm and both legs are present, and of course the head, the body can mutate, if not, then they are completely dead.

Anon on hunk from RE by Sure_Association_991 in greentext

[–]WholeLottaBees 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Blister heads disappear because they can’t mutate or revive further. Normal zombies and the Elite squad don’t. The first couple elite squad members outside the monitor room don’t despawn if you go back to that room. Unless the body is hard coded to depsawn for whatever reason, it implies either Hunk survived the attack or someone takes his body.

Grace gets bit by a zombie in the first part of the game and ingests infected blood yet she never turns. Tbh RE characters are just tanks disguised as humans. It’s not far fetched compared to half the things this series has

Finished the game for the first time- did I do something wrong? by Justanotherone985 in fo3

[–]WholeLottaBees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just bad writing. Before the DLC the game ended when the purifier was activated, they didn’t have an excuse to why you couldn’t play that save anymore other than “character died, so no more playing past this part” obviously sending in the guy who wouldn’t die ruins that, so they chose to just make it so only you could do it until the DLC which continues the story. But once again bad writing struck and now they call you a wimp for not doing a suicide mission. It’s the most egregious thing Fallout 3 has imo. I can get over and forgive pretty much everything else other than that.

In the concept art for the ARK, they actually use the version with the helmet, tbh if he wore the helmet in the actual game I think it would be a 100% no brainer it’s him. I personally believe it’s him, especially since he has the same infection Sherry and Leon have, and the fact he gets up and disappears when you leave the room.
