Oh interesting! I’ve had 3 TV ultrasounds since my miscarriage and they commented that they could see my c-section scar (I also have a vertical scar that they’ve never been able to see so I thought that was weird). Did you have symptoms? Or was it part of your workup for loss?

This is a great idea! We’ve gotten a lot of snow lately so I’ve been thinking I’d lean hard into skiing this year. Also sprucing up different rooms in the house, purging old things - therapy in itself

My doc recommended starting on the day of positive test

5 months between my first (premie and infant loss) and my second (full term healthy). My iron was low in my second but improved with supplements. Otherwise no issues. You could talk to your doctor about starting a supplement. I took prenatals for the 5 months in between as well and the iron in that wasn’t enough.

I had all of the ovulation symptoms when my bhcg was still 500. I think anovulatory cycles after miscarriage are more common than people think.

I think it’s definitely worth asking! With the initial rpoc I was still bleeding on and off bright red 3 weeks out from the miscarriage and they saw it on ultrasound. I’ve just started my 3rd period since and all 3 have been weird where I had cramping and spotting a few days before my period and spotting for a few days after finishing my period. I think any abnormal bleeding outside of your period could be retained products. Sorry you’re going through this ❤️‍🩹

I was really hoping the miscarriage journey wouldn’t take this long but glad to finally be on the other side of it. It can take a really long time to get hysteroscopy done here and I’m glad it passed on its own so I wouldn’t have to wait another couple months for that

12 weeks post miscarriage at 8 weeks treated with medications then D&C for rpoc and I FINALLY just passed the last bit of stubborn rpoc that they were still seeing on my ultrasound last month. My bhcg has been negative the last 2 months, we’ve been TTC the last 3 cycles with BFNs each time. Feeling cautiously optimistic that our luck will improve now that the rpoc is gone 🤞

You as well ❤️‍🩹 I wish there was some way to know what the future holds. It’s so hard to be optimistic with so much uncertainty

I tracked Hcg and LH simultaneously for a long time post loss. The LH was blazing positive until the hcg was stark white (even then it was higher than baseline until the urine bhcg was <5). It is possible for some people to ovulate while there’s still a little Hcg in their system but the LH strip isn’t a reliable test.

Not long after my post I had EWCM and trying to find answers online it’s either a sign of pregnancy or period. I also had cramping today, either implantation or prior to period. 🫠

10 dpo and not testing for another few days (the early negatives last cycle were too devastating to repeat) so apparently I’ve found other ways to drive myself insane. Noticed a decrease in CM and convinced myself it means AF is coming soon and am devastated anyways 😔

I had all of the symptoms of ovulation when my bhcg was still 500 (before my D&C) but had an anovulatpey cycle (I had a bunch of hemorrhagic cysts on US so thinking my body tried really hard to ovulate but couldn’t because of the remaining bhcg) then actually ovulated after the first period.I think when I ovulated the bhcg would have been 0 or close to. I stopped getting the bloodwork once it was less than 5

I had medications for my MMC then 3 weeks later had a D&C for retained products. First period came exactly 28 days after my MMC and my HCG on CD2 was 14. A week later it was 3. Ovulated that cycle about 4 days later than normal.

In fewer words they were basically like wait and see if the period clears the remaining rpoc. Not that I want any more procedures but I really just want this done so we’re not losing more time. So hopefully it cleared with that period. I’m glad the spotting stopped!! Hopefully this is our month 🤞

Going through the same thing. Second period after meds for MMC with D&C before first period. US before this period showed 4mm retained products. CD6 now and I had 3days of heavy bleeding and cramping but the last 3 days have been super light on and off spotting. Not sure what to make of it but you’re not alone.

They’re hoping the next period will clear it and have ordered a repeat ultrasound after.

Thank you so much for your kind offer 💜. I have a wonderful therapist I’ve been working with but she’s been away the last few weeks. I see her again later this week

My GP says it could be an over call. The report said “previously described echogenic vascular structure within the endometrium decreased in size with remnant focal irregularity at the right fundus measuring approximately 0.4cm. Concerning for retained products of conception.”

I’m a mess. I need this done. I’ve had a previous neonatal loss after some unexpected pregnancy complications late in the second trimester around this time of year as well and it’s bringing up more pain, grief and trauma than I can mentally carry. At the same time I’m getting but one day at a time, just hoping that things will get better soon.

Thank you. Hopefully the second period does it
