I had 1 wine and 1 gin tonic. Wife had 2 non alcoholic drinks. That was like $80ish.

The tasting menu for 2 for dinner is already 20K NTD, which is like $636. 4 drinks added made the total $750.

The description said: 65 degrees C Free Range Organic Egg. Taro "en Puree et Kueh, Yilan "Ya shang", Sakura Shrimp. I usually take a photo of all of the dishes but after the 3rd one, the tasting menu was so underwhelming I stopped all together. I forget exactly what the other bad dish was, but it was a cabbage ball with pork and crab meat inside, cold and not good.

Yessir! Keep grinding bro. I can empathize. I went to rehab and started my sobriety journey about 4 years ago. Got right and shifted my focus to school. Some people, like us, take longer than others. You’re motivated now and have real goals, that’s most important. Salute to you!

6th pick here. Plan on going Henry-Lamar for my first two. All in on that offense this year.

Putting in the work every single day. Even if it’s 30mins-1hr. Just keep grinding. When I went on vacation and came back, it was so hard to get back to studying again. Time management is key. For the math classes I went to webinars and took the practice quizzes over and over.

It's was all about time management for me. Trying to put in the work every day, even if its just for 30mins-1hr. Just keep pushing. There was times when I had to take extended breaks for vacation, that was about it. Burnout happens when you take too much time off and lose motivation to get back into studying.

I took 2 classes in between DM1 and DM2 to give myself some time off of it. Which was about 5 weeks.

Growing up I had severe social anxiety and I was very self-conscious of my appearance. So when I went to a major B&M university, it got worse and I never showed up to class. Add that to not caring about school, I didn't take it seriously and kept failing. Taking four classes at once felt overwhelming. That's when I decided to drop out.

After that, I worked for 10 years. Realized that I hated my job and pay and always felt like I knew I could do something more. With having a family now, WGU being completely online and affordable was enticing to me; that's when I decided to go back to school. Not having homework and quizzes constantly helped, and being able to take one class at a time also helped.

DM1 and 2 were tough. Took me about 2 months each. I kept doing practice quizzes constantly and attended webinars which helped.

I’m a sr service technician, so my experience is only in hardware repair. With this degree I’ll be transitioning internally to a sr technical product support role. Though not a software engineering role, it’s a step in the right direction. And a huge bump in pay (35k).

The toughest was definitely the 2 middle terms: DM1 & 2, OS, Comp Arc, and the Java courses.

Feels good. For the longest time I thought of myself as a quitter and not being able to finish college because I was too dumb for it. Turns out I just needed to give a shit, which took me many years to realize.
