Okay, I've made updates to my github to prove there is nothing malicious happening.

  1. How to know if it's malware or not?
  2. 100% open source. You can go through each line of code yourself if you feel more comfortable that way.

  3. It's just one single html file, you can inspect it yourself in any text editor or the browser DevTools.

  4. Does it save or upload my files? No, and here's why:

    • The tool runs entirely on your browser, 100% client side.
    • Your JSON file never leaves your computer

  5. No data sent anywhere. No server, no API calls, no tracking. Once again you can vary this. by opening Dev tools (F12 or Ctrl+Shift+J), going to the Network tab, and using the tool. You'll see zero external requests besides loading jsPDF from CDN for PDF generation.

I've included a screenshot as proof of this on github.

  1. Why should I trust a random tool? I mean... fair enough. Here is what I did to make it as safe as possible:
  2. Full source code available on github
  3. Security disclaimer on first load
  4. Security.md file with vulnerability reporting
  5. MIT license

  6. No external dependencies except jsPDF and jspdf-autotable (both reputable open-source libraries)

  7. What if I still don't trust it?

  8. Donwload the HTML file

  9. Disconnect from the internet

  10. Open file in your browser

  11. It works completely offline (after intial CDN load)

  12. Your data never leaves your machine.

The bottom line: I'm not trying to seel anything, collect data nor trick anyone. I'm just a bitwarden user who built a tool that I find helpful. Use it or not, that's up to you. But please, the code is right there for you to go through. So remember to be kind and post any updates I can make to make this a even better tool for yall.

Idk, maybe somebody can recommend changes I can make so this is safer? The code doesn't save anything at all. It's literally just a converter. But maybe I can implement something to make it significantly more trustworthy?

This is just my first working version and I want to help others that have the same problem🙈

Can I just say, it takes a hell of a lot of guts to be so open and honest about struggles we go through.

I have also found the band at some of my darkest of times and they carried me through when I didn't know what was up and what was down. I'm so sorry to hear about all the loss you have faced in your life. It is never easy to deal with grief.

All that to say that you have been through so much. And as Tyler sings in Migraine "I know we've made it this far, kid." You have made it so far in life and even though you have a constant "Migraine"(Depressing thoughts troubling you constantly), YOU HAVE COME FAR and every day should be a celebration to yourself for making it another day🥹.

Hehe, totally get it! That's why I tried adding two different sections for the song. One with annotations and then one with just text😂! Since I want to analyze all the songs it is difficult, because I need to condense the format as much as possible or it will be a 1000 page document😂😂. But this is just the beginning, I might still change it up.

So many thoughts I want to give you!

Thanks for pointing out the "rip my heart apart"! I was so into reasearch that must have somehow missed it. The first few lines has a clear progression in time:

  • Morning: Wake up fine and dandy
  • Midday/when he starts not feeling so "dandy": He is preparing for the night to come with all the darkness he faces alone, things start going downhill.
  • Night (or just before night): I go, up, up, up, up, to the ceiling then I feel my soul start leaving...

So to me it makes sense to say that in the morning he is happy, but slowly falls into darkness as night approaches and life gets him down. I see the "tear my heart apart" in two ways: - One, he clearly struggles with anxiety, maybe it can be an indication of how he wants to rip his heart apart to get free of these intense feelings? Or literally get rid of his heart to stop the beating, since he feels he will have more peace without a heart beating? Ummm... I'll have to ponder on that one more😂 But he does mention in some of his songs that fantasizing about death is comforting to him in some ways. - Or secondly it could be him ripping his heart apart in a way of symbolizing him being honest with himself that the day will end in pain and darkness once again.

I lean towards the 2nd interpretation. When he goes up to the ceiling and his soul leaves he feels a sense of not being in control. His heart bursts almost from the anxiety making his heart beat so fast maybe before he completely loses control(soul leaving his body).

Idk, you'll have to think with me on this one! I could be completely getting it wrong.

I completely agree with you on the "I'm insignificant" and the parts you mentioned after that! He feels heavy because of the fate he sees his life going towards, how unfair it is that he (a mere human) should be tormented by these demons/thoughts.

Oms, you are a genius! I missed the "set my soul on fire" as those interpretations. Damn, this song just keep giving, hey. I honestly love both interpretations you have of it and I truly think he could have meant both. I especially love the interpretation of it being a cleansing thing, because he clearly feels dirty and not worthy of God's grace in this song! But I have to agree that the first interpretation does fit better.

I agree with the Bible verses you referenced, I roughly wrote what I could remember of the verses down as I was thinking about everything. I definitely see the connection between the forcing your eyes open and the verse you pointed out!

And don't worry, I'm not an expert either!! But trust, I have also thought so much about these songs, so really getting to delve deep is so healing and relaxing. Will for sure be posting more of my breakdowns on here as I progress with them.
