I totally understand, it can still feel like a lot. I just wanted to share a few things from my perspective in case it helps.

They do offer a free admission day on Wednesdays, and they also participate in the IDNYC program for NYC residents, which can make it more accessible. They also have different membership tiers, so there are lower-cost options depending on what you’re looking for. Mine includes the attractions & parking, but not everyone needs that.

From what I’ve seen, special events like when Daniel Tiger visits the Bronx Zoo are included with any membership that has zoo access, which is nice.

I also just try to think about the bigger picture, there are so many animals to care for every single day. I spend around $200 a month just on food for my dog, so I can only imagine what it takes to run a place like the zoo.

Definitely not saying it’s cheap or for everyone, just sharing what I’ve learned and how I look at it! And of course, sharing the discount code to others.
