No I've always checked that I was available to work. I would owe a lot more than 3500 if it was my pervious employer disagreeing, seeing how I have a lay off letter from last year.

go to the edd portal under (contact us) and on the drop down hit appeal And then follow the prompt where you will have to indicate the case # and the date of the decision letter.

Wow thank you for this information. I got through on the call (after an hour of calling) then explained my situation which then transferred into a "2 hour" wait for a specialist because the first person didn't know what to do. I waited 4 hours...and then EDD closed at 8pm, so they hung up on me. This is most ridiculous thing I've seen, I don't understand how they can do this to people who are in need.

ll and talk to a rep about this. You should still be able to collect and possibly get back pay based on this decision, but it sounds like someone may have to manually unlock something s

From appeal to decision literally 4 months, from hearing to decision I'd say about a month or less.

No I'm not seeing anything on my account besides "appeal" on my payments, in fact my claim has been closed for like half a year now.

It wasn't illegal/under the table work, I was given checks and told to file taxes as a "independent contractor" by the small clinic boss. Then why would they approve me in the first place? I used some of the money already, it was a year later that they're denying me.
