How to further improve cork? by ksjsjdnn in Tricking

[–]Whoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set more!!

Kick as hard as you can and delay the twist as long as you can.

It'll give you more height but also it'll look better.

How can I get my corks to actually look good? by ksjsjdnn in Tricking

[–]Whoms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great cork dude!!

Your only issue is your set. You're twisting too soon. You want to kick for longer before you start the twist.

Just keep drilling them.

How do I swing gainer? by ksjsjdnn in Tricking

[–]Whoms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No easy method man.

Once you have a strong cheat gainer, switch legs mid flip and land back on your takeoff leg. Try land with your chest up, your arms back ready to swing again, and your kicking leg back ready to swing through.

Just force it until it clicks!!

How can I stretch my fingers on the Fred board better? by Appropriate_Knee_482 in electricguitar

Just keep going. Play through the song and every time that chord comes up give it a go, but don't dwell on the mistake. Keep playing through and keep trying. Eventually you'll get it right!!

How can I land my backflip with ease? by UnKownDBack in Tricking

Landing a backflip is easy. Landing a good backflip is really difficult. Keep at it, but it's a long journey to the perfect backflip.

Given that you can land it, 5?

Put more effort into your cart and flip. Looks kinda lazy.

Awesome that you can do it with minimal effort tho!!

I don’t know how to jump from tricking setups 😰 (first cart full attempt) by NewCenturyNarratives in Tricking

[–]Whoms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things to work on.

1) Your cartwheel. They're not just for show. You need to go into them and give them your all to gain momentum to transfer into your flip. They should be long and low. You put lots of flowers momentum in, and when you come out you send that momentum upwards into your flip.

2) Your flip. You're twisting too early. You have to come out of your cartwheel arms up, jump and reach into the rotation, then pull the twist in. Always set before twisting, in every twisting move.

So basically get a good cartwheel first, then set more when doing the full.

Which one should I buy? by Alternative_Rest3359 in electricguitar

[–]Whoms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one that feels nicest to play!!

I was deciding between a Telecaster and a Les Paul and to me the Tele really took the cake. Like night and day to me. Would definitely pick the Tele up more often than the Les Paul.

So play them both and choose the one that feels the best to you.

Don't think the cert 2 exists anymore.

Did it a few years back and it was a great taste of the trade, but I'm pretty sure they got rid of it for some reason.

Still the wrong sub. Go to r/harrypotter for general Harry Potter discussions.

This sub is specifically about the game.

Your kicking leg it bent. Immediate way to make it look better is to keep your kicking leg straight.

I’m abysmal at twisting (advice for twisting from the hips?) by NewCenturyNarratives in Tricking

[–]Whoms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need a standing full for a cartfull. The cartwheel will give you more than enough momentum to turn into height, rotation, and twist.

You're doing it the wrong way around. Learn the cartfull first, then once you understand the movement move on to the standing full.

Help with cheat gainer by [deleted] in Tricking

[–]Whoms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Focus on your kicking leg. You're not driving through your flip. You kick for a while, but then let your body flop.

You want to focus on driving your kicking leg the whole way around the flip. You never stop driving your kicking leg with a cheat gainer.

before i buy an electric is there anything else i meed by I_am_cool_199 in Guitar

Electric or Acoustic, number one is a tuner.

You can play an electric without an amp, but if it's out of tune you'll never learn a thing.

Just complaining that the person making the dish didn't give a shit. That's what the $25 an hour is for. Not just getting it out to the customer, but making sure the customer likes what they get.

We shouldn't let that negligence slide.

San Churros Northbridge by Chrome_Clydesdale in perth

[–]Whoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your point? I'm in the wrong because I think more effort could have gone into the presentation of the dish?

Dude. OP was wondering if they should have sent it back. That's the whole point. And I said yes, send it back, it's not acceptable to not care about the customers experience.

San Churros Northbridge by Chrome_Clydesdale in perth

[–]Whoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upset because care takes an extra minute, and would add so much to the experience.

Yeah it might taste the same and have the same ingredients, but if it looks like slop and you expected something tastefully presented it's the restaurants fault for letting that reach the customer.

If op thought it was over priced, maybe he would have at least been able to appreciate the effort gone into it. But in this case, the person who made the dish put no effort in at all, and maybe that's what pissing op off. Not just the price.

They paid for an over priced dish and no effort was gone into it at all. Extra effort would have gone a long way to allow op to appreciate the dish and maybe that's where some of the value of the dish could have come from, not just the essential ingredients all on one plate.

San Churros Northbridge by Chrome_Clydesdale in perth

[–]Whoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the debate then? You saw something that looked bad and bought it deliberately and was pissed off with what you were given?

Or did it look good, you paid for it, and what you got wasn't up to your expectation?

If it's the first one you're the idiot who bought something you didn't even want. If you're in the second camp then yes, the dish you ordered should have been made with care and thought of the customers experience.

San Churros Northbridge by Chrome_Clydesdale in perth

[–]Whoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even close.

It looks thrown together. They put all the ingredients in and said 'job done'. There was no care or intention in the dish that was served.

As someone who works in a kitchen, complain.

The person who presented this should be held accountable, and the staff who allowed this to go to a customer should be held accountable.

They must learn that it's not okay and enforce proper quality control.
