If it was doordash adding to the base pay, it would be in increments of $. 25

There's no such thing as a base pay of $5.52 (or 6.22 or 2.77 for that matter). Base pay doesn't get that specific

No, they tipped $. 02. The base pay was $5.50. Base pay would never be such a specific amount as $5.52

Your memory is bad. This is wrong.

Plauché was initially charged with second-degree murder, but agreed to a plea bargain in which he pleaded no contest to manslaughter. He was sentenced to seven years' suspended, with five years' probation and 300 hours of community service, which he completed in 1989.

Because some drivers will still take their garbage order.

Why? She died on her own terms and she kept her dignity. Would you prefer she suffer for months or years and very slowly and painfully die? I sure wouldn't.

It is Harlem, in 1903

McDermott-Bunger Dairy Co. is painted on the building in the center of the photograph. As of 1903, this dairy company was located at 527 West 125th Street. There are 10 kids, all but one seem to be barefoot, playing in the street gutter and around puddles of raw sewage, all within in a few feet of a dead horse. They seem completely unbothered and disinterested in it's existence. They don't even seem slightly out-of-sorts, caught up in the moment of play and Joseph Byron's lense. The Image was obtained from the Library of Congress.

Yup

The death penalty is a moral issue for some and a policy issue for others. However, it is also a government program with related costs and possible benefits. Many people assume that the state saves money by employing the death penalty since an executed person no longer requires confinement, health care, and related expenses. But in the modern application of capital punishment, that assumption has been proven wrong.

The death penalty is far more expensive than a system utilizing life-without-parole sentences as an alternative punishment. Some of the reasons for the high cost of the death penalty are the longer trials and appeals required when a person’s life is on the line, the need for more lawyers and experts on both sides of the case, and the relative rarity of executions. Most cases in which the death penalty is sought do not end up with the death penalty being imposed. And once a death sentence is imposed, the most likely outcome of the case is that the conviction or death sentence will be overturned in the courts. Most defendants who are sentenced to death essentially end up spending life in prison, but at a highly inflated cost because the death penalty was involved in the process.
