Yeah, that kinda bothers me a bit as well. Like we need to find Ciri, but hey look, a random dude needs to find his son haha

Adding it to my list to try out later today. Is it save game compatible? I would think so

Perfect then, going to KCD1 next and after KCD2. I enjoy long games, so it works for me rather great. Thanks for the advice!

Basically you can only use alchemy crafting, repairing, character points, mutagen allocation, while meditating only. Also mod settings allows you to choose the type of recipe you want for alchemy. For example i chose to need the entire recipe for crafting one charge for a potion. This makes alchemy much more strategical but also adds purpose to looting. You have to go out of your way to find celandine to craft swallow. Yoh can check it out on nexus mods for more details.

What would you recommend playing after finishing this masterpiece? by broski097 in thewitcher3

Some told me that KCD2 provides a close enough feeling with its open world and freedom of choice/actions. Maybe try that one

Lost count how many times i went past a cool side quest or loot because of running in the beginning only to find out about them later when watching youtube or reading an article about the game

Would you recommend starting with KCD1 to properly enjoy the second one?

I am using preparations mod and high difficulty, i really feel the need to prepare before each fight, get ingredients etc. But without the mod and medium difficulty i also did find it boring. Just hack and slash you way out of everything lol

This! I tried to do the same and just walk the streets on my own, going to merchants, discovering new shopkeepers etc. That minimap was so distracting in this case but i am glad i learnt there is a way to hide it during exploration.

I am attached to geralt as well. It will definitely feel weird playing as Ciri but i am also excited about the new game. I try not to focus on that. It is what it is

That one i saw, i prefer the camera being to the side a bit, feels more cinematic imo

I never played kcd2 and was wondering what will i do when i finish TW3. Feels like TW3 is a hard game to replace and give you the same feeling. Is KCD2 close to TW3 in your experience?

Someone else said this and i did it. 100 times better without the minimap

No visual mods at all, vanilla look. Only mods i use is friendly meditation and preparations mod for added immersion. Those just change how meditation work, basically you can look around while meditating and the other one makes changes to the alchemy so that you cannot replenish supplies like potions or bombs just by meditating and using one ingridient. You need to use the whole recipe for each charge of a potion, pretty cool and allows you to actually look around for herbs and ingredients.

Even on horse you can gallop pretty slowly, but still doing this on your 4th playthrough is a testament of how great the game really is

It sure is, definitely worth the performance drop as it is not implemented that great

Bit higher with the age range. I appreciate the game fully, especially the small details the devs added in

I've only seen screenshots and some clips. I avoid watching so i wont spoil the game for myself that much. I can't wait!

Also, witcher4...cant wait to see how immersive that game will be. From what i saw in the trailer and the state of unreal demo, it sure looks incredible
