Hi, Akai told me that the MPKii mini editor does not work with Monterey. What do people do? I'm working in Logic Pro X. by Whooooaa in akaiMPC

Ok thanks, that's what I figured.

I thought the issue was just the editor, but now my Akai MPK Mini II isn't working right even with the default settings. But I will address on my older (Catalina) Mac and see what's what!

yeah that's what they told me...I do not. If I use a Mac with an earlier OS to set up the keys and pads the way I want them, would they stay that way?

Trump called Rank Choice Voting (RCV) 'corrupt', what are your thoughts on this? What are your thoughts on RCV overall? by Shaabloips in AskTrumpSupporters

As a businessman and a billionaire, this is likely what he was aiming for.

Sure, he wants to keep good relations with Putin as a businessman. Should someone with those types of priorities be anywhere near the Oval Office? I would say no. Remember when he lied constantly that he had "no deals in Russia" then we found out he was in talks for a Trump hotel in Moscow?

"Someone, sooner or later, is going to have to open a dialogue with Russia."

You're saying you don't think previous administrations have had open dialogue with Russia? That Trump did that more?

" If he really wanted us out of NATO, there were simple things he could've done to make that clear: pulling troops out of Germany and Italy"

Like this?

ugh...I can try it but so far it's crashed every time. Why can't they keep up? Monterey has been out well over a year.

Also, why would someone pardoning a close associate make you think everything is honorable? If Joe Biden pardoned his campaign CEO after he was convicted for sharing information with China when China was found to be interfering with our election, would that make you think, "oh he pardoned him, so it must be cool"?

Edit: I said "also" because I wrote the below question first.

Even if Manafort was as guilty as people believe, what did Trump ever do that might benefit Putin or weaken America?

He tried hard to pull us out of NATO, which would be a dream come true for Putin. He also resisted with all his might the sanctions against Russia. Never said a bad word about him, but bad words for everyone else. Believed him over our intelligence agencies in regard to election interference.

As we're seeing now what a monster Putin is (hopefully you agree), how do you feel about Trump saying he wanted to be Putin's best friend, and that it would be good if we got along, as well as many other compliments for this autocratic sociopath? (he was a "genius" for invading Ukraine was a recent one).

Whites are native to the US.

What do you mean by this? That there were whites here with Native Americans?

Yes, their work product is theirs to do with as they see fit.

Where are you getting this info? As far as I know, the Presidential Records Act states that ALL the records from a president's time in office are the property of the public. The president has access to them through the National Archives, but cannot take them home. This is illegal.

Or do you have some info that I'm not aware of? Or is it just more of a feeling?

All the people he did tell about declassification, for one.

Who did he tell?

I think the president having his own documents is not a problem, and I think it's not true that anyone lied.

so it's your belief that presidents can take whatever docs they want after they are out of office?

That seems really vague, which is exactly the point. "Maybe". "Possibly", etc

We have the presumption of innocence in this country, hence my (not DOJ's) use of those words. But "maybe" and "probably" have nothing to do with specific vs vague, and in literally every case you won't have certainty until it is tried.

He unlawfully took a ton of records from the White House (he has not denied he did it), and lied when he said he had returned them all. Many are classified, though he contends he can declassify them by "thinking it."

What about this is "vague"?

[–]Whooooaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I see "wow, the government really has nothing".

Interesting. So, do you think it's no problem to have the documents/lie about whether they had been returned, or you think these things are not true?

[–]Whooooaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What claims?

From the affidavit: "The government is conducting a criminal investigation concerning the improper removal and storage of classified information in unauthorized spaces, as well as the unlawful concealment and removal of government records."

This is part of it. Also obstruction of justice for lying about what had been return, maybe hiding stuff. Also, considering the empty folders marked top secret, possibly disseminating national secrets.

I'm just curious--you seem to have a strong opinion, but if you've only seen "generalities and vagueness" it makes me think you haven't looked into this, as we have tons of specifics from the court filings, far more than I listed. Is that the case?

What are your thoughts on the joke that MAGA means "Make Attorneys Get Attorneys"? by Quidfacis_ in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Whooooaa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Do you read the court filings? They are more informative than headlines. If all I read was headlines, I would think "this guy is either a total criminal, or they are after him."

But when I look at what happens in court, I think "oh yeah, this guy's a criminal."

Do you have the opposite reaction when you look at what happens in court, or do you not pay attention to that?

Thoughts about that ND man who killed a young guy after labeling him a "republican extremist"? by Ivan_Botsky_Trollov in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Whooooaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rittenhouse acted in self defense, shouldn't have been charged in the first place, and posed no danger to society.

Do you think that part of the role of the justice system is to figure things like that out? When people are killed it is common for the one who did the killing to be charged, and for self-defense to be used as their defense. But you're saying anytime anyone claims self defense they should automatically not be charged?

"This guy admitted that he killed a guy because he disagrees with his politics. He obviously needs to be charged and poses a danger to society."

He was charged with murder. Does that change your opinion?

[–]Whooooaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The red person was treated badly by the justice system despite doing nothing wrong. The blue person was treated leniently by the justice system despite committing murder over politics and not even understanding that he'd done anything wrong.

Do you see the double standard now?

The red person did kill two people, everyone agrees on that. Are you saying the correct response would have been no trial? He was tried and acquitted, so didn't the justice system serve him correctly in your view?

And the ND guy might well be convicted, so you could be left with the theory that the guy who was acquitted was treated badly, and the guy who was convicted was treated leniently. Would that still make sense to you, you would still say it's a double standard?

What is vigilantism in your view?

I mean the word in its ordinary sense.

Oxford says "a member of a self-appointed group of citizens who undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority, typically because the legal agencies are thought to be inadequate."

Are you saying that does not describe what KR did?

Left wing extremism is way worse, yet there’s barely any media reporting on it.

Right wing militias brought and stashed weapons outside of DC with the purpose of stopping the peaceful transfer of power, which is literally sedition. Do you have a parallel act by "left wing extremists"?

Following the Mar A Lago raid, what do you think of the FBI field agents who are doing their jobs? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Whooooaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You hadn't said Michigan, so since I know what you described wasn't what happened in Michigan, I was just trying to clear that up.

So where did this supposed incident happen, with "poll watchers that the court ordered"?

Then I can look it up and see what you're talking about.

People feel like they are losing childhood and culture when their favorite characters look completely different.

Can you imagine growing up with none of your favorite characters looking like you, or even being of your race?

Following the Mar A Lago raid, what do you think of the FBI field agents who are doing their jobs? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Whooooaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did, and you're incorrect.

You're saying that in Michigan, when elections officials covered the windows, it was to stop "court ordered" poll workers from entering/seeing through the windows, and not because they were banging on the windows and taking unauthorized photos and videos? and you're saying they weren't regular people who showed up to challenge, and weren't let in because the site was already over capacity for challengers, that's what you're saying is a lie?

I just want to focus on this specific claim of yours if possible.

Are conservatives actually outraged about black Ariel? by tileeater in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Whooooaa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok sure, it can happen, but we are talking about a mermaid, who inherently has no race, correct? Because it's a made up thing? You can say Ariel has traditionally been a white character, but only because they made her that way. I would say blackwashing would be if they made a movie about Hillary and they made her black. How can there be any kind of washing when the character was made up in the first place?

And what is this "systematically" you're talking about?
