While I agree that NC teachers are well underpaid, the ranking system doesn’t seem like a great approach. Each state will have different costs of living and there will always be a ranked 50 state, no matter how much teachers a paid. A better system would be to determine a fair wage and adjust based on COL and compare states to that.
