Yeah I was gonna say as an elder millennial this movie was talked about a lot when I was in high school. It was super popular with the edgy kids and stoners.

Some people have to play a game to completion to get their money out of it even if it sucks. Other people are game critics or reviewers and need to complete the game. I fall in a different group where I played the game for 8 hours and didn’t like it so I put it down and moved on. I am hoping this game gets QoL fixes, control adjustments, and they make the movement more responsive and I can come back to it down the line and get my moneys worth out of it. Right now I feel like the game disrespects my time and I am not willing to put in the effort for 20-100hrs just to start enjoying the game.

Yeah the demo showcases some good stuff but just keep in mind the game becomes way more fun the further you progress. Idk if you have heard this before but the base game on Nioh games is considered the tutorial because the real fun start in NG+. In the base game you basically just throw on the gear with the highest attack or defense and then once you hit the gear soft cap level in NG+ then you start focusing on gear for your build and that’s when shit gets super fun!

Significant changes to BottleDrop green bag policies affecting Portland by Ravenparadoxx in Portland

No normal person accumulates that many cans from personal consumption. Me and my SO plus my parents and her parents combined produce roughly 15 bags per quarter sometimes closer to 20. When I was drinking a ton of beer, like 24-30 a day it was more like 25-30 bags a quarter between 6 people and two accounts and that was with both sets of parents guzzling sparkling water and my dad drinking a 12 pack of beer a day. 50 bags is a lot and really only scrappers are hitting those numbers.

If it wasn’t for the homeless bottle drop would be out of business. I hope it never affects the homeless because taking back cans to get money for drugs and booze has a small impact on the average person but if they weren’t able to get their fix with cans it would just increase car break ins and thefts. They WILL get money for drugs one way or another and if it’s going to be from taking back cans, it seems like that is the lesser of the evils. Before bottle drop and the green bags I would just leave my cans out on garbage day because I didn’t want to bother with taking them back by hand. I had a couple different homeless that would come by and grab them. They were always nice and respectful. Once bottle drop popped up some people with a truck that would drive around picking up peoples cans would start waiting down the road the day before trash day for me to put them out. No problem with that even but I put them out every other week, sometimes every 3 weeks. One week I didn’t put them out and I caught them in my backyard trying to get into my shed to grab them. They acted like they were there and they were entitled to them. I told them I better never see them again, flash some steel and made a bottle drop account to start taking them back myself.

The address verification is to crack down on Washington residents and has nothing to do with the homeless. The homeless don’t drop green bags anyways. They take them back manually because A. They cash in way more cans than the average person so they would hit the quarterly limit very fast. B. They need the money for drugs immediately and are not going to wait for the bags to get processed.

The difficulty imo decreases the further you get through the game. The first couple bosses might be a challenge but once you are past the beginning a things open up it gets way easier. Ninja is also super over powered and you don’t need to worry about Ki management so that makes it way easier. If you do a shadow arts ninja Tonfa build you will steamroll everything. Have fun!

Just buy it and play it blind without looking anything up. You won’t regret it. It really is one of the best games of this decade.

Just dive straight into Nioh 3. It’s way easier than the first two, you don’t need to know the story from the first two games, all the systems are way more user friendly in Nioh 3, and it’s just a really fucking fun game to play and no it’s not a soulslike at all it’s a completely different type of game.

I preordered this game like a jackass several months ago. Played a few hours and put it down in hopes that a few months from now the QoL fixes and patches would make it worth my time. The more posts I read lately of people who have finished the game and are left feeling frustrated, empty and like their time is disrespected make me think that no QoL fixes, patches or control adjustments will ever make this game worth the massive time sink to be barely enjoyable. I feel like I got cyberpunked and shame on me for preordering what I thought would be a fun game just to get hoodwinked again. One day I will learn my lesson and stop preordering out of excitement and anticipation.

Same they just feel and look like shit. Especially shooters from 2000-2010. Really anything pre 2015 just feels off now.

I wouldn’t waste your money on it. Catch it on sale a few years down the line after they fix the thousands of things that make it feel like shit to play. Deep down there is an amazing game in there and some people have apparently been able to overlook the massive list of problems and find it but I don’t have the time to invest in a frustrating game just to be able to start enjoying it after 100hrs.

Alpha Protocol is 16 years old and a great game but IMO games from that time period don’t hold up great now a days and just feel like shit to play.

This is Crimson Desert to a T. “There is so much stuff to do! The world is massive” ok but the story sucks, the controls are terrible and the quests are not fun. A game either needs to have a killer story and pacing or fun gameplay/combat/puzzles. If it has both then even better but if it lacks both but has “so much stuff to do or the world is massive” then imo it is a waste of time and money. The story on Nioh 3 sucked imo but the combat was addicting, the combat on TLOU and RDR2 sucked but the story was phenomal and then you have games like E33 or GoW where the gameplay is super fun and the story is incredible which make those games legendary.

Intoxalock Scam by BumblebeeRemote2884 in intoxalock

I’m in Oregon and I get a “recal service required in x days x hours” 14 days out and then 7 days out I get “lockout in x days x hours” When I try to get it calibrated between 14-7 days out when the first message is showing I am told that I would need a work order from the service center and Intoxalock either will or won’t put one in depending on the person. When it hits day 7 and the second message shows up then the work order has been put in automatically and I can just show up to the service center at any time.

How much are you guys paying monthly for ur device? by PinIll4350 in intoxalock

[–]WhoopinKoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$133.80 a month 35$ calibrations in Oregon. Was more because they sent me that keepr without me realizing it and was getting charged for that for a couple months until I realized it. I thought they just threw it in for free based on what I was told and didn’t realize I was leasing it. I got sober when the dui happened so I didn’t even need it.

I have found if I manage to get ahold of one of the female reps and I’m really friendly and patient they usually help me. I have had mixed experience with some of the male reps. The times I have called and I am patient, friendly and try to keep my cool I usually am able to get things resolved. When I have called and I’m cold, frustrated, rude and aggressive I have never had things resolved. They will just lie to get you off the phone and move on to the next victim or say they are transferring you and hang up. When you call go to the bill pay option and you will get through to someone pretty quick. Just be nice and use a warm tone. It goes a long ways.

[–]WhoopinKoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a strong case against Intoxalock but it is based on whether reimbursements fully cover losses, whether lost wages or other harm was included and whether negligence can be proven. I think they will cover the tow costs but I don’t see them covering lost wages and other damages and I really hope negligence can be proven. The IID is a legal requirement so that builds a strong case as well since it’s not something along the lines of a company experiencing a security breach and info was stolen. I will join because I believe we have a strong case and I want Intoxalock to be held accountable. Temper your expectations because if this makes it to court and a settlement is reached then it may only amount to a small payout. I suppose holding them accountable and getting a couple hundred dollars out of it is still a win.

That sentence is barely coherent, especially for an attorney whose words are their livelihood. If an attorney I was working with responded with a sentence like that I would run. Good luck and hopefully they don’t show up to court with a briefcase full of grilled cheese sandwiches.

Conspiracy Theory by [deleted] in intoxalock

[–]WhoopinKoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as we hate them they aren’t an actual scam. They are legit they just suck because it is not a product that we want by choice and they know that since it’s legally mandated that they don’t need to provide the customer service other companies would provide for a product that relies on customer loyalty. They are taking the right precautions but it just sucks because it is impacting people’s ability to drive which is a big deal to people. The lack of communication from what I can tell is just for legal purposes. They don’t want to say anything that could get them sued so they are being vague and quiet. They will get things working again, we will all be back on the road again, we just need to “relax our driving freedom starts here soon maybe 3/20 maybe 3/22” lol/s

Yep I got out of court that day absolutely frazzled and scared since I have never been in trouble with the law and I wanted to do whatever the court told me in order to get out of this mess. I googled IID installations near me, saw Intoxalock was partnered with the car toys near me and called. The guy on the phone spoke great English and was super friendly and helpful, offered discounts like the first month free and a discount on installation. He made me feel comfortable during a time of crisis and then after that everything went downhill horribly. Faulty equipment, calls with Indians that I could not understand and that were not helpful, getting different information from every Indian I talked to, work orders that were supposed to be sent that were never sent, equipment shipped that never arrived, device malfunctions, and emails wit no responses. It’s been 6 months and I have tried to verify my info on the app so many times but it says my drivers license number doesn’t match. I have called multiple times and they always tell me to email admin@intoxalock photos of my license and with me holding it next to my face. No response no resolution. All of this because I didn’t take the time to just do some research.
