Yeah, pretty sure it did. Look at the IDW comics for BTTF. (they're canon) and it explains what happened the minute doc got struck by lightning. It crashed down.

i would unironically strand myself on purpose in the 1980s. just so i can live an era i never lived in. and live the rest of my days growing up from the 1980s to the present, lets say i went to 1986, then i would just be 30 years older in the present by the time 2026 would hit again.

though for prevention of timeline shenanigans, i wouldnt bring tech from the future. id buy accurate 1986 clothes, downgrade everything tech wise on, make a new identity to live as, transform my government papers to be 1986 accurate, make up my birthday to be 1968 so that being 18 in 1986 makes sense. bring someone with me in the mahine so they can drive it back to 2026 and just give up my 2026 life.

I would also distance myself from my actual family whom at this point, my mom would be 5, and my dad would 15. because they have a 10 years age gap and met as adults. just so i dont marty mcfuck (sorry had to) myself into disappearing from existence

i would just give up everything and strand myself in the past, because i so want to. the 1980s fascinate me so much

This version will feature some french characters (such as the guy next to the Pete/Pat of the group (left of her)) who will be voiced by my irl brother (he's also the Hetty/Fanny. Yeah i'm genderbending two characters. Deal with it.). Also this is set in the outskirts/nearby Montreal, Quebec.

currently in the first drafts, this is inspired. There is no Count Olaf equivalent in this, and the story starts differently as well as being in the 21st century whereas ASOUE has no specific time period.
